My Email /ISP provider has 'upgraded'to a newer email interface with more storage etc .Sometimes when I go to log on to my email this happens :
1 I type in my user name in the box as normal
2 I click the cursor in the password box .
3 I type in my password
4 THE PASSWORD APPEARS IN VISIBLE TEXT BESIDE MY USERNAME!!!
Is this as dodgy as it appear !!!???Dont just say , 'Oh yeah that looks suspicious '...anybody got firm info on this freaky activity?!
I have Spybot ,AVG,SuperAntiSpyware ,CCC Cleaner, all Microsoft updates,XP Firewall etc etc

In number 4 on your list, your password appears in the username field but not the password field or they appear at the same time?

The password appears clear as crystal in the username bar before the username and not in the password bar...

Does this overwrite the username already there?
Do *****'s appear in the password box at the same time?
If not, somehow the focus does not switch to your password box, and you are basically just entering a username...
Why it won't go the password box, I dunno, could it be it somehow does not accept the username?

The visible password does not overwrite the username and no *'s appear

The visible password does not overwrite the username
So it's just being added to the username in the same field?
Or does it appear outside of the field?
Me thinks your ISP has given you a new email interface with some (graphical) bugs in it... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif Contact them about this. Could also be the new interface has an issue with one of your protection tools...

I agree with FT, it's most likely a problem with the new interface and not a security problem on your pc, call them up, I bet a ton of people are complaining about this.
