help please

Hey, so i have assassins creed 2 for xbox 360. Right now in the game i'm playing where the character goes back to Acre and is chasing the girl back to the tower. After she runs into the tower and the door closes right before you can walk into it. I start climbing up it. I get to the balcony where there is a door and a pole with a lamp hanging down from it. I climb up on the door but it will not let me climb on top of the lamp pole to get to the top of the tower no matter what i do. I have restarted a new game and when i get back to the same spot it still wount let me. I also got a brand new game because i just rented Assassins creed from block buster but it still wount let me climb on top of it. If anyone can help that would be awesome!

keep trying, jump from corner ledge to post. its a pain. i was stuck there also. i kinda got lucky. just keep at it.

You should be able to do an extended jump here. The light post should be centered over the door, so when you get to the ledge stand on either the right or left side of the door and you should be able to jump to the wall and then press the jump button again while aiming at the light post to jump over. You can also try standing on the ledge right below the light post and hold R2 and press "A" to jump straight in the air. I haven't tried it that way, but was able to get up on my first try using the extended jump.

try standing on the wall of the balcony directly below the light post. Hold down "RT"(X360)/ "R1"(PS3) and press jump and he should jump straight up
