My incredible paint skills in action:

http://www.zlilo.com/~flyinj/Angle.jpg

top is the enemy ship, middle is my ship, and bottom is what my AOB indicator thinger looks like in that situation. In the bottom part, the black line represtents the ship icon in the center of the circle, and the red circle represents where I'd placed the circle you can move in the display.

Is this correct usage?

I just can't wrap my head around this thing for some reason. Is it the exact opposite of what is in my JPG?

Looks right to me.

Ok, so, in summary:

The icon in the middle of your AOB display (vertical black line in my pic) represents the ENEMY ship, not your ship. The circle (red circle on my pic) you move around this icon represents the angle at which the enemy is observing your sub.

Is this correct?

Angle ON bow, it's the heading of the ennemy warship, relatively to your heading. For example your heading to 250, he's heading to 180, AOB = 70? (-70? ?) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
