Far Cry 2 Bow Petition

I want to invite developers to add Bow into the game as a weapon. Like what was in the movie Rembo 2. And to make flammable or nuclear arrowheads for example. I think it would be very interesting. What do you think? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You wouldnt live very long if you used a bow to fire a nuclear arrowhead - assuming you are not able to fire the nuclear arrowhead beyond the blast radius of the nuclear explosion!

I can imagine it now, theres a bad guy 40 metres away, do I take him with my silenced pistol, flaming monkey, or nuclear tipped arrow, I'll use the latter, cos it looks l33t.

Have you heard about depleted uranium? The shells for aircraft do with it. It provides a tremendous explosive force, but did not initiate a nuclear explosion.

Ok i agree that a bow in the game would be awesome, but when rambo has one with grenade tips and starts killing ppl in a field from like 2 miles away, it gets abit stupid. so yes to the bow but no to the <span class="ev_code_RED">xxx</span> nuclear etc tips.

Ok, what are your thoughts on the arrows with sucker tips?

Not made to be deadly, but they do leave a big red mark on your enemy...embarassing him infront of his comrades.

They come in a range of colours to suit your surroundings and leave you less likely to get sued by the enemy for GBH.

I would like to see lawn darts included in the Farcry arsenal. They may not seem very dangerous, but they can cause serious injury if safety guidelines are not followed.

Well I don't remember those extreem distance in rambo movie. Or you count inches as yards?
There is a Cheytac intervention sniperrifle movie on youtube where they schoot at 900meter and 1800meters. And compare that to the distance of the rambo movie. I come about on 100 to 250 meters.

2 miles is more then 3000meters and to see a car or truck you need a scope with high magnication. Plus that beyond the effective range of anny longrange sniper system

Because of modern tech of bow.s and the different kind of bows my knowlege off effective ranges of bows I don't know. So to mee everthing below 250 meters is believable. even if the real range of rambo specific bow is like 150.

BTW I prefere CrossBow's.

I would like to see a bow similar to the one in Turok; a regular bow with various types of arrow. Maybe they could make it a compund bow to look cool. Great fun.

They Should Definitly have a bow, kinda like the one I have. i think having an explosive arrow is a bit much. but a plain old arrow in the noggin would do the trick. it would be pretty good if you shoot them in the leg and they pull it out.

Since most engagements in games are within 20 yards, a bow might be quite useful. In Africa (or anywhere else), silenced weapons are pretty rare, so a bow or knife might be your only options for stealthy kills. I probobly won't carry one, but there might be missions where it comes in handy. So I guess I'm for it.

Not to mention the fact that used arrows can be 'retreived' from corpses.
