Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest videogame publishers, announced the development of HAZE, an innovative FPS game based on new intellectual property.

Developed by Free Radical, creators of the critically-acclaimed TimeSplitters series, HAZE is scheduled for an early 2007 release for the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system*, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and will also be available on Windows PC DVD-ROM. Where corporations are concerned, there is no good or bad, just money and private agendas.

This game looks like it will show a lot of promise and it might have a nice storyline to it too. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You don't think corporations can be good or bad? Such innocence! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I haven't seen one that was good without it involving a profit margin or good p.r. No offense to Ubisoft or any others that aren't inherently evil, I just don't think any are inherently good.

Actually, corporations could be good or bad or neutral, depending on what type of corporation they are. Plus, Mantel Corporation could be another word for Mental Corporation, if you unscramble the a and the e. Another hint of why it is that, just watch the trailer more carefully, and you'll see why the Mantel Corporation could be another word for Mental Corporation.

Yeah, correct, although a corp. with it's own merc. army just has to be a bad idea. It's going to be interesting comparing FRD's take on this with that seen in MGS4, (a slightly more humourous take I'd expect http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif) which also contains mega-corp's with merc armies. (Where South America is concerned it's actually not far from the truth.)

considering the fact that good and bad/evil are a point of view, a personal opinion, then irukandji_01 is correct in saying corporations cannot be "good or evil" . . . basically the saying "one persons terrorist is anothers freedom fighter" applys well to this situation

Yes, there's always the possibility of actions being good or bad dependant on the observer, and things are always open to interpretation, but I believe most people given a particular situation can say whether it is evil or good. Giving people drugs without their knowledge or consent is not good. Exploiting people is not good. Corruption is not good. Killing civilians is not good. There may be cases where such actions may be deemed acceptable, but I can't think of any, and I would say, old as it is, the ends do not justify the means.

I'm opening a whole factory full of canned worms there I know, but that's my opinion! Don't take it too seriously, we're talking about a game after all...

i agree with what you are saying, but the original point was corporations cant be stated as good or bad, not peoples actions. but your right aswell in the fact that, it is afterall, just a game, although it does look sweet !! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Downloads now available on the FRD site. Mostly screenshots of Haze, Second Sight and TS, but there's a FRD wallpaper up there too.

A Haze wallpaper, maybe based on concept art, (I'd love to see some) would be great http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

This game does look pretty cool. its not the most best looking game out there, but it is quite impressive. it doesn't quite look lightyears ahead of the 360, which PS3 games really should. high hopes, timesplitters + goldeneye rock!

Hi smog282. Don't forget Haze is multi-platform, for 360 and PC as well as PS3, (therefore the differences will be minimal between versions) and that it is far from finished yet. At the end of the day the gameplay is going to be more important than graphics, IMO at least.
