Lets be honest NO ONE is going to get a refund...

I think people were trolling the the following website...
http://lo-ping.org/2011/08/18/...d-copy-of-from-dust/ (http://lo-ping.org/2011/08/18/steam-offering-refund-for-ever-sold-copy-of-from-dust/)

I assume if someone was upset, why not create a rumor that Steam would refund, Steam would want to look good and they would generously do so.

But facts are now starting to show....

1. Steam is not going to refund... maybe one lucky guy got his, and it spread like wild fires. Imagine the bandwith costs, having Ubisoft pay them back?
2. Trolls are among us....
3. You can not play this game offline.
4. You would have to have a pirated copy as backup for offline play.
5. Ubisoft is not going to budge.
6. We were taken advantage of.

Were all stuck with game, try to enjoy it, never buy from ubisoft again.

Hear, hear. I have no doubt I will never see my $15 back.

But another thing is beyond doubt as well. Ubisoft will never see another red cent from me. Ever.

The one time... the one and only time I've ever pre-ordered a game... I get screwed out of my money. I'm not going to let this happen though. I'm going to keep emailing and calling Steam and Ubisoft until I at least get more than the generic copy/paste answer.

I wonder if this game will ever get patched.

I doubt it, because ubisoft never properly patch their PC games.

Before this I had never considered pirating. But now, as I look at a game that (as of tomorrow, as I will not have net connection for several weeks) I will not get to play and know that pirates do get to not only play it, but play it offline, I realized the folly in my belief that purchasing this software legally was the right thing to do.

I bought a game legally and Ubi punished me for it, in order to teach me that the proper way to obtain a game is through piracy, where I can have the same game for free and with less restrictions. Go figure.

This.
You know I started buying games off steam because I want to support game developers. But you, Ubisoft? In the name of stopping piracy you have forced me back onto the road to pirating every ******* game you release.

I will never buy a game from Ubisoft again.
I will pirate every single game you release.
I will seed the **** out of them.
Why? Because you've given me no choice. I'd rather pay $15 for the pirated copy then to hand you a $5 note I've spat on.

Report Ubisofts Illigal Activity @ BBB (https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/getstarted.aspx)
Will you be willing to post a step-by-step instruction re: reporting Ubisoft on BBB? I believe that will greatly increase the numbers of reports if those that want to do so are given instructions on how to.
