Settlers 2 --> Problems with Coal

hey guys,

i'm reliving the old days with Settlers 2. But i always seem to run out of coal. I mean the coalmines never produce a lot. My whole chain of manufacturing is slowed by the coal. HELP!!

i have the same problem nearly allways
the only real thing that works for me is start storing coal as sun as and build a lot of foodies.
mines is s2 run out fast so keep prospecting and markin mines, leave enough road building space and build new as old ones are dying...and food lots of it, any food will do for a while but bear in mind that coal miners love bread...so youll need a lot of farms, farms on s2 dont come cheap ither, they take for ever to be built and never seem to produce large quantities unless they are completely free of nearby buildings.so expanding is important, just to get farming land
