Hi there, I've got an ATI Radeon 7500 AIW (I know I know...) I installed the game, didn't work at first, tried different drivers and I finally got it working with the newest omega drivers. It runs surprisingly well on 800x600 (most things on low, im portant things on medium). The only problem (which makes the game pretty unplayable) is that the water changes colours and frickers regularly. If I could somehow fix this, I'd be happy, anyone know how? I tried changing the water detail from medium to low and back again, and no luck, don't really know what else to do...

simple, buy a better card because farcry water uses pixelshade and your card doesnt have it, upgrade to a 9600 pro if ur in a budget maybe?

Well getting a new video card is pretty much out of the question for me, especially since I'd want it to be an AIW...
Everything else works pretty well though, except the water, so I think this could be fixed

That's what I'm doing, but as I said, it's just be a lot better without it lol. The water looks fine a lot of the time, perfect... so I think my card is capable of rendering it, its just a matter of settings probably.

that card doesnt have pixel shading, it wont render it.. you can't make a car fly like a plane can you...?

It will render it, and it does... half the time. I'm trying to upload pics to my webspace to show you but they always end up all jumbled for soeme reason

Your card does not have pixel shaders, so it does not render it. You say it does but it doesn't. If it looks like screenshots from cards that have pixelshaders, I'll eat my mouse.

I've checked out your video card, and it does not contain pixel and vertex shaders. It has a fixed t&l unit, its basically a geforce 2 with tv http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. It will render water, but you'll probably have to have it set on low.
-----------------------------------------------
7500 (RV200) GPU for its 2D and 3D capabilities. This means that it has a fixed function T&L unit and no support for hardware pixel or vertex shaders ...
-----------------------------------------------
The water probably can still look ok, as i saw a demo for a geforce2, which has no, pixel&vertex shader support. And that looked okish.

But for full graphics, would be best to upgrade if u can.

This is what it looks like on mine(GF3)(below)(pixel&vertex shader 1.1 Although tommorow i'll be getting my rad9800pro(pixel&vertex shader 2.0)
