So, I dunno why this hasn't been organized yet so here goes. Same details as the Girls Night: CoD4, Thursday, May 28th, CoD4... Guys only in this one. Maybe later we'll join up with the girls when we're ready but guys only at first. Should be a good laugh. Who's up for it?

When you're ready? You sound a little scared, haha. I think the only difference between this thread and ours is that there will be less smilies to show affection for such an idea. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I would normally be up for playing but I'm in training for a new position at work from Wed-Fri which means I work 6:30a-3p so playing at 10p is probably a little much.
I might stop by for a couple of games but it won't be for long.

RUDE!! We (well, okay, I) don't come and act all manly in your thread so don't come and act all girly in this one! :P
Scared? Psh! We're constructing our tree fort out of chainsaws* and bacon! With such a fine and noble endeavor it is quite possible that we might forget about you and your little skirmish. We shall try not to, and when we are done with our manliest of missions we shall invite you to our game (but not our tree fort) if we remember http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
It should be a good night, both before the gender merge and after! Looking forward to playing with you guys, and later you gals too ^_^
* (Note that this sentence implies we will be using chainsaws to process the lumber that is our building material. This is not the case. The chainsaws themselves ARE the building material)

Tree forts made of bacon, huh? Doesn't sound like a good idea as both men and women would rather die (atleast the normal ones) than not have a taste of bacon. But if Bromance Night is what's needed to warm yourself against those of us endowed with ovaries, more power to you! In the words of Captain Tenneal: "Lets git it on!"

Margaritas are awesome, particularly with the salt around the glass rim (but are they considered <STRIKE>girly</STRIKE> fruity drinks?) . I know what I now need....a marathon of MXC episodes and margaritas. Sorry for the brief thread jack. I hope you guys have a good showing for this game night.

I never underestimate 'girly' drinks because of the Long Island Iced T.
I had always thought a Long Island Iced Tea was a 'girly' drink, until I bartended and saw how much alcohol was actually in it:
1 part vodka
1 part 1800® Tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
1 splash Coca-Cola®
.. and I was also surprised to find out that there was no Iced Tea in it at all. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Wha...no salt?! Do you also drink them out of a tumbler and not that sombrero-like glass? Sounds like a boring margarita to me but to each their own. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif And I have to agree with what Brookelyn said. Although guys may like to rag on the girly drinks, they are deceptively strong because the sweetness masks the alcohol content. I hate salt. I avoid putting it on almost everything that normally has it. I've never had a tequila horror story. My only bad drinking experience was the first time I heavily drank hard alcohol, but it was with Jack Daniels.

Brookelyn: I've never seen any of my friends become paranoid after drinking but thank god you have someone like Rhoulette to keep you in line. If it were me, I would have probably messed around with your head, haha. :P
Stonelance: While I've been drunk a few times I'm fortunate to not have ever gotten to the point of blacking out and waking up the next morning with regrets. Actually, I'm a rather tame drunk. Clumsy, yes, but usually very apologetic over my stupidity and then soon asleep.

Certain types of alcohol put me in different moods, and what you are describing has happened to me many times unfortunately, not sure if it was from Tequila though.
And it's definitely nice to have a friend like that around while drinking http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I've never blacked out from drinking either. I puke way before I get anywhere near blacking out.
Tequila makes me super happy and goofy drunk. And maybe a bit ***** too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif I have heard from several people that it makes them angry drunk though. I seem to be one of the few that it has the opposite effect for.

Man, that's weird. Usually alcohol tends to have an enervating, uh, effect on men. Not exactly the perfect time to do the horizontal bop, among other things...but I'm really off-thread here and am amazed at how the topic of alcohol in any setting can be a good conversation starter.

I've always read otherwise:
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> Men's sexual behaviors can be affected dramatically by alcohol. Both chronic and acute alcohol consumption have been shown in most[3][4][5] (but not all[6]) studies to inhibit testosterone production in the testes. This is believed to be caused by the metabolism of alcohol reducing the NAD+/NADH ratio both in the liver and the testes; since the synthesis of testosterone requires NAD+, this tends to reduce testosterone production.[7][8]
As testosterone is critical for libido and physical arousal, alcohol tends to have deleterious effects on male sexual performance. Studies have been conducted that indicate increasing levels of alcohol intoxication produce a significant degradation in male masturbatory effectiveness. This degradation was measured by measuring blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and *********** latency.[9] Alcohol intoxication can decrease sexual arousal, decrease pleasureability and intensity of orgasm, and increased difficulty in attaining orgasm.[9] </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Men not being able to perform while drunk has been a joke for thousands of years. While it may affect some, it is rarely detrimental enough to prevent the activity from taking place, as people get drunk and sex each other every day - the reason most of us are alive.

Yeah, I think alcohol affects men more as they age. The only time I am not interested in sex after drinking is if the room is spinning. It seems to affect women just about the same as men though. I have run into a few women who get a greater sex drive after a few drinks, but then also have a harder time reaching orgasm afterwards.
I am guessing the increased sex drive in men and women might just be a reduction in self control, or relaxation from stress and other stuff going on in their life, and not of an increased libido. It is probably on a curve where a couple drinks are a positive influence and further drinking after that has a negative impact.

Haha! Some would argue that alcohol provides the only means for a little fun time. I only hope that I wasn't a drunken accident and that my parents lied to me. Makes everything much less romantic. And I agree, Stonelance, that it has more to do with decreased inhibitions, which must mean we're all a bunch of latent pervs.
