Repairing tanks, where is the damned repair kit?

Yo dudes,

I have noticed many differences in the patched game, but noticeably stutter has gone and fps is a wonder, even with all graphics maxed out.

I tackled a the Russian mission where you have to flank the enemy. Once the germans responded to the warehouse explosion and sent out a Panther, I simply kept my men in defensive positions at the back of the field to deal with stragglers and used a sniper armed with AT grenades and took out the lot Predator style. I actually capped the Panther, I simply shot all the men off the turret mount, but its turret was inactive, I could shoot but not rotate it. So, I had to manoever the tank to hit later targets. Where is there a repair kit when you need one? Calling in reinforcements works, you simpy select teh reinfoce button and mouse over an ally running past you, he will join you. But it doesnt work on tanks and vechicles (pity).<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

But i seen that, if u play a mission with allies, u can throw some nades on their caterpillar and they broke, then the tankcrew gets out to repair it, then steal the kit or kill the alliehttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I'll try that someday. The only mission I had any real tanks to directly control is the one where you have to hold the germans at the village (russian mission).<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I've been playing this same mission for 4 days now, it's so fun. You know the trainstation before berlin. I'm taking the germans vehicles and i'm done with the mission. Then i take them to my "headquarter" and repair them. I just love this part in fow, you can do anythinghttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

How? I have so much trouble finding a vehicle in a good state of repair. I had a Panther once or twice but the turret would not rotate.

Do you have tips for capping a tank intact? It's hard to get the crew out without wrecking the tank. Tanks are awesome in this game.

I can think of sniping gunners off the mount, it's easy to get the first, harder to get the replacement, tough to get the gunner/ driver/ commander, nearly impossible with the second guy remaining popping in and out, and the last guy has to do everyting he is on the mount for a split second looking for you.

I used molotov cocktails when I have them, they do sometimes wreck tracks and engines.

There isn't much else I can think of unless you had a repair kit then you can do everything to a tank short of greying out parts of it or destroying it and still make it useable. I like the Russian side better, they had the best tanks in World War 2, fact. But still I like to try to capp a tiger, king tiger or panther.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well there are tons of ways, because of this lovely game http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif. Like you said, fire can be one way. But i also discovered that u can ram(direct control(ctrl)) smaller vehicles and ram the smaller tanks and apcs so they tip overhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif, and they don't break eitherhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif; then the crew automaticly jumps out, and you kill them, then you tip it back and take it!http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

But sometimes you also get lucky(using a bug) and just walk up to the enemy tank and shoot(with an machine gun soldier) at the machine gunner on top of the tank, then the other crew in the tank who comes up and tries to shoot you, and you just keep on shooting on the same spot(on the gunner), then you get all of themhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. But i use like 3-4 saves in each mission, so i can try diffrent tactics and come out from hard situations. I am not online on my own pc, am at university so restrictions on net and no online play, will get unplugged. Played online at a mates pc recently who lives 100 miles from here.

You should try louvain mission then its awesome with loads of heavy tanks you can control... what you said ? you havent unlocked louvain yet eh? Hmmm if you dont consider it as a major cheating you may consider using a file config to replace the original one so that you have all missions available... just have to find the old thread where its been posted or ill post it as well ... let me know if you are intersted
