"I Can't Believe That Worked" moments [Archive]

I was stood in a stationary blend group on Wanted. My pursuer is making his calculated advance towards me. Luckily, I have LL Decoy and I suddenly get this whacky idea. I start running and then I hit my decoy. Obviously confused, my pursuer stops for a second then starts following me and the decoy. I'm thinking "crap, that didn't work" when suddenly he jumps at my decoy! I totally didn't expect it to work and I laughed after it all happened because that was an unexpected victory.

Also, being chased by my pursuer on Venice. I run up the stairs between the two lifts and turn right. I hop the fence but grab the ledge beneath it. My pursuer jumps straight over me, oblivious as to where I am and runs forwards. Meanwhile, I jump over the fence, down into the haystack and earn myself a nice little escape. Then my target comes prancing along and I sit in my lovely haystack. He stops by the nearest blend spot and I pounce! Focus, hidden, incognito, poacher and chain!

Wanted Game, Pienza.
Had Hellequin as contract. When I arrived at the plaza where the clock tower is, I started hearing whisper. So try to blend at a stationary group, just to realize I don't set blender perk making me an obvious target. Then I saw a fastwalking Nobleman toward me and thinking to lure him for a chase.

But then I saw, behind the Nobleman was a fastwalking Prowler.Quickly I doubled checked my abilities. I had firecracker and knife (I play Batman in Pienza night). So i said, let's *** try this. Throw the knife to nobleman, making him slow walking, the Prowler catch up and get past the Nobleman that started choking. And i laugh as the red thing on the upper left my screen gone off.

Succeed.

Bonus : behind the fast walking Prowler is a fast walking Hellequin. I laugh harder.

That's ten seconds that i can proud of my wit

Haha, I had the same thing happen on Venice. I fell from the top of the building while being chased by a guy I knew abused the gun, then while I'm running I use a decoy, and my decoy starts running alongside of me. We're both going for the same chasebreaker, then I hear the gunshot, and my decoy falls dead!

I got up on a roof with a roof top runner who was standing still so I start walking towards him and he turns around and stares at me so I know hes going to try and mute / stun me so I walk over to the ledge and I look down acting like im not after him a minute later he turns around and I walk up and kill him..

I was in Rome, and I was chilling by the market stalls and the four sided square roof. I was in first and had 3 persuers. I swear I had like 4 stuns/lures before I wa staken down and I had only 1 other blended persona

I've been able to pull this off quite a few times today...I'll notice my pursuer following me. I walk calmly around a corner so that it seems I'm completely oblivious to him/her, but I'll angle the camera so that I can see his movement. Lol it's so funny because once you move around a corner, they always jog up to where you were. ANYWAY, I'll turn the corner but instead of blending or trying to hide somewhere, I'll put myself against the wall just next to the corner. My pursuer walks around and *PUNCH TO THE FACE* I can't believe it works so well.

Word to the wise...don't make yourself too obvious :^)

Basically any naked stun, but for a more specific example I tried the "morph one group and stand in another" gag once thinking no one would fall for it. Morphed a static group, stood in a different group with blender, watched three pursuers air-assassinate a different member of the morphed group.

I was playing on pienza, and my pursuer chased me on to one of the those litle ledge post things on the side of the church, I was in a chase so I thought what the heck if this dosent work, it's only 100. So I threw my smoke down onto the ledge post thing and he runs right into it, so stunned him, kneeing him in the jaw.

Another time on Venice, my pursuer was up on a ledge waiting for me to move from my blended group, so I muted, quickly ran onto the ledge, and kneed her in the jaw.

This was a while back and I'm not quite sure if I remember everything or if it's completely true, but I was playing the Hellequin on MSM Night and one of my pursuers came towards my blend group (the one Rainie likes) and I'm out of abilities.

I ran around the haybale at full sprint speed, starting a chase with him following me. It's fine and I keep running round the haybale, the thought not occuring to him to jump in and haybale assassinate me.

Eventually he has enough and stands staring at the blend group and I lap round the haybale and luckily, I successfully pull off a Naked Stun.

I just remembered one really early one I got, back when I first was told to try morphing a group next to a haybale and then hiding in the hay. It didn't work the first couple times I tried it, but once I was in Monteggerioni and did this with one of the planters by the stairs. Wouldn't you know it, all three of my pursuers fastwalk up to the morphed group, each one picks a Doctor, and they all fail.

I had a couple of targets on Rome once and just thought 'bugger it' and stood at an empty blend spot near the pantheon- thought 'no-one will think i'm stupid enough to just stand out in the open all on my own', and yes i was right.. watched 2 pursuers walking around in the area and killing my doubles who happened to be innocently strolling around in the area.

So there I am hunting my target with no pursuers or abilities and the compass lights up as a morphed group comes around the corner (this is in Rome - Dusk, near the market square.) So I stealthily pop down a side street and double back, walk at the front of the blend group without entering it as that would have given me away (Blend perk) and manage to round another corner all the while keeping Incognito and then BAAAM! My target makes a slight gaff at the back of the gorup, runs to his morphed group, and dies when I stop dead still, do a 180 tuen and inflict Templar Doctor doom on his sorry persona...

I had three pursuers on me. In the direction I was facing I could see two coming right to my moving blend group. Seconds later I see a bright shining Harlequin coming at me. My smoke bomb was 4 seconds from reloading so I thought I had no hope of getting out of this one. That is until a Priest suddenly stepped in between the clown and me and took the hit. Then the Executioner brushes past my twin and she faded away (failed poison http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif) then with my newly reloaded smoke bomb, I gave the Prowler something to treat at the dentist.

Executioner after me, no abilities. Standing in blend, just me and a twin. He's so close I don't have a chance to run or climb, and just standing there going eanie miney moe on us. I think what the hell, and start turning in circles around myself and swear I see his character grin of the "NPC glitching" before he kills my twin. Sickest lure ever.

Never worked again, though.

Wanted.

Rome.

I was doing reasonably well, sitting with a 500 point lead halfway through the match, and I'd just had my first death and switched to my defensive build (Morph and Smoke).

I joined a blend group that already had 2 lookalikes for me, so I was fairly calm, when I saw a very obvious Thief screening me. I just had this feeling - "You know who I am now" as they approached.

Smoke, stun, bail.

As I'm starting to run, I see a fast-walking Prowler, and start mashing the stun button.

Success. I turn the corner, morph the crowd, and see the Executioner break into a dead run.

I say "Screw this" and run at him mashing stun again.

And it works. Getting escape as well.

Then join my blend group in time to get a Hidden/Incognito/Chain before the Prowler catches up and actually kills me this time.

By that point, I was more than 1000 points ahead, and I stayed that way until the end of the match. I didn't mind dying there.

this was a while ago, but i was playing manhunt and my team was on defence, i went to a stationary group of four and changed them into me with morph (haha im sure you know what happens) i hide in a haystack next to them and soon enough, all 4 purseurs go up to my group.
They couldnt tell which one is me so they tried the process of elimination, i laughed so hard when each one of them took out a civillian and i got 4 lures LOL, i jumped out of the haybale, ran around them in a circle then ran for my life HAHA

I was in a game just yesterday. Two pursuers on me, I see one jogging towards me with a triangle over his head and pan the camera to see another player fastwalking to my blend group. My target drops out of nowhere and joins my blend group. I hold for the focus. First pursuer takes out my blender NPC. Second pursuer is on me and knows who I am, so I fire off a decoy just to create confusion and go for my kill. As I finish my assasination my decoy runs between me and my pursuer and I get the lure. Pure luck. But incredibly enjoyable.

My pursuer walked right round a corner yesterday at the same time I did, so I punched him in the face.

Obviously he was expecting me to be further away so he could get a quick look at the situation before attacking me!

In high-grade matches, you don't really see people hiding in the hay anymore, so once when I was on top and playing defensively, I decided to hide in a hay-bale to see what happens (without any clones nearby that I recall. It was that one hay-stack in the Forlí plaza to the right of the church, so when Miss Smuggles came running through the chasebreaker with a red triangle on her head, it was pretty easy to tell who was after me.

In the end I didn't possess the nerve to just wait, so I jumped out of the hay and smoked her for a secure stun. That must have looked absolutely beautiful from the other point of view.

You know you are right, people don't use the haystacks often enough...I know someone made videos awhile back and he suggested jumping in the haystack and using Templar Vision while in there and then jumping out and getting the kill..this was on Manhunt of course...

only problem with this is you are either:
a) too close and they smoke bomb and stun you
b) too far away for TV to work and waste the ability. its a really thin line of it working or not.

but good strategy nonetheless

got 4 consecutive stuns without any abilities today. 3/4 i walked head on with my pursuer(on purpose). guy had a 4-6second warning and still couldnt kill me

just about an hour ago.
actually it couldnt happen in the matter of fact they were super pros. it just cant be explained otherwise, couse at the end i had 10 escapes and i guess a double one. enough said. oh no, they were prowlers. now you understand my horror. ok, it was an alliance in castel gandolfo with prowlers and butchers and the last ones were our targets. i got both abilities on cooldown so i decided to blend in stationary group fortunately looked all like me. and here comes the prowler and in a few seconds i've got my free 300 points for lure and stun, my teammate was too far away from me so i blended into a massive crowd which was actually right near that stunned prowler. next second the butcher shown up and got instantly stabbed with sweet 200 hidden points.
i thought i was already dead by the blade of that prowler, but actually i got.. lure and stun points. poor guy then enjoyed a punch in a head from a next executioner who came from a ledge of a central balcony. accidently he had to respawn the next moment too http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blush.gif but this is not the end. from the crowd i instantly observed pro-red triangle of a second prowler coming for my life... i was so scared that i dunno how that happened - i just got a naked stun.
it was just like a movie, everything took about 30 seconds maximum.
sorry for a large post but it was not long ago and im still full of emotions.
at the end i had 10 escapes, 11 stuns and 4 lures; 7600+ points, 8 kills and 7 brutal and ferocious deaths.

My moment was more offensive in nature. I was playing Advanced Wanted and identified my target walking down some street (I forget the name of the map). Anyway, I decided to stand in the middle of the street looking off to the side (from my target's perspective) directly in my target's path. I was wondering if my target would:

A) Continue walking towards me
B) Get spooked and run off
C) Realize who I was and try for the stun

My target, apparently not wanting to look "non-NPC-ish," and completely unaware, walked right into me. As he bumped into me, I proceeded to administer a shot of poison and he did not stun me. I think he realized that I poisoned him after it was too late because he started following me and such afterwards. Well, he followed me for as long as he could...

Many people don't seem to realise the danger they're in when their pursuer hops into a hay-cart right next to their blend group, to the point where you can hop in, get the focus on them and kill them easily. If you'd tried that by walking up to the actual blend group you'd probably have got a sock full of fist.

If I see someone in a group by a stack I almost always hop in for the kill. You can't block a direct hit from the haystack. Coincidentally this is also why I almost never blend by haystacks ad always move to a safe distance if someone does hop into it.

This one almost worked for me earlier today. In Venice in that little corner near the chase breaker on the carnival side of the building where there's a static blend group, a bench, and a pink pile of leaves. I morphed the blend group and hid in the leaves. Priest walks up and stabs an NPC nobleman, Courtesan poisons another. The courtesan was mad I guess because she then flushed me out of the leaves and the hellequin got me, but the hellequin was using TV so she would have figured it out anyway.

Speaking of haybales in a different game I had figured out my target was in a moving blend group walking around that semi-covered area in the top left of Rome (if you imagine the big temple as top centre). I waited in the haystack because I figured his group would walk past it, and identified him by line-of-sight from the haybale. Sure enough his group walked by and I sprung out and stabbed him. I've done I think 17 "needle in a haystack" kills but that was the first time I actually hid and waited rather than flushing my target out or diving into a haystack for just a second before the kill.

Monteriggioni. I've got 3 pursuers on me, only a smoke, and I'm cornered at the far side of the map with the river. I stop in the blend group in the narrow pathway at the bottom of some stairs, and I pick out two closing in in front of me with a crowd in front of them. I go "let's do this" and drop my smoke. I stun one guy, and as soon as the animation stops I dash forwards to try and stun the second. 2 things happen: I stun her, which was good, and at the same time the third pursuer behind me takes out my clone in the blend group...even though he must have seen me drop the smoke. 3 pursuers down, 1st place...aw yeah.

Tried going for some naked stuns today, and also worked on my poison.

First, the poison. Can't tell you how many times people just ran into me, and I managed to get a poison off. Luckily they didn't bump into me so they would have seen they were my target, but I almost wish they could see the animation of the Doctor's arm flinging out, as if separate from the rest of his body, in order to poison them. There were a couple I got though where I couldn't have been any more obvious as a pursuer and they didn't catch on. Like, full on bee-lined in, poisoned them, then walked out.

As with the naked stuns, got lucky with some corners, and taking the advice of attacking the guy when he thinks I'm going to run. One guy though, in the middle of Forli around the marketplace, decides to hang out in a static group next to mine. The red arrow is above his head. I decide to lure him out and try and naked stun him around the corner. I guess he doesn't see, because he doesn't follow, so I walk up right behind him and stun him. I bet he was like "wtf?"

playing Wanted in Monteriggioni (sp?)

I heard whispers so blended into a static group on the main street. There was only one NPC in it, which changed into my persona (blender perk) when I entered it.

I wasn't quite in the right spot and made slight movements to make my character stand 90 degrees to the NPC

Playing Manhunt yesterday in San Donato with Steelbadger, BeCk41 and Telekinetic X (was awesome by the way http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif )

Cant remember our persona but we were up against the Harlequin and they were the hunters, anyho all 4 members of the other team closed in on us while we were blended in the same group (in one of the enclosed spaces behind the walls), everyone got a stun and bolted ... except me (I like to think of it as me holding my ground, but truthfully its because I'm an idiot http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif ) so I stand there and drop a mute when they start to get up, Stun, then i got a Naked Stun, drop a RR smokebomb, another Stun, then another ... and this went on, I swear I took on all 4 of the other team and lasted for 6 or 7 stuns while they were huddled around my feet, I couldn't believe that I had just pulled that off and laughed so hard, at the end of the round I ended with 10 stuns and 17 KO's http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif , best match ever http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I guess most of my moments that fall into this category are just OBVIOUS naked stuns. Like, sprinting AT my pursuer and just spamming the B button.
Most of the times, it's on a prowler.

last night i baited rainie to jump off the roof in rome, she looked like she wanted to go for an ariel so i moved farther out into the market square. she jumps, smoke bomb(thinking surely she would run around and nail me)...nope runs right at me. i run up smashing O the whole time, it happens and i go

ZOMG IT WORKED IT WORKED I BAITED SOMEONE FROM THE ROOF!!! AND I DIDNT DIE!!!

AND I DIDNT GET A SCISSOR IN MY EYE SOCKET!!!

lol was so happy, until she caught me walking around the corner 45 seconds later...god i got pwned haha

Had a great 6500 match in San Donato last night. Was running RR charge/smoke for defense. 3 pursuers on me, get a quick kill, then stun. Now both abilities on cooldown. I B-line for the church. By the time I get there I have 3 persuers again.
I go in and blend in the group near the gate/door, I'm the one on the outside near it. One by one, my pursuers come and I get a naked stun on all 3, each about 10s apart, then walk out and get a hidden/incog on my target in the group in front of the herald.
That match was epic fun. Ended up winning by like 3k with 11 stuns.

Yeah Toxic, that was a funny game, they just loved getting stunned! I didn't know you took on all four though after evryone else ran away!

talk about being a moron though, I got confused last night, I was in the middle of setting up a match with amoralcompass, but for some reason we were having problems, so we were trying to set up matches and were inviting each other like crazy, then I finally got into a match and played a few rounds with you guys, it wasn't till I was just about to turn off my xbox and I got another invite from amoralcompass that I realized that , omg, I had joined another game entirely, I had thought that she had joined another game with SteelBadger and Telekinetic and invited me, it didn't occur to me that the names were different, talk about being an idiot, I was sooo confused its crazy , guess that's what happens when you don't sleep for 2 days http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Love my Turtlebeach. But even better, my wife loves my Turtlebeach so she can't hear me gaming.

Last night in Rome - three pursuers on me, dropped a LL smoke and caught two of them in a stun. Heard the "gun sound" looked to see my third pursuer taking aim from 6 or so meters away. Bolted through the remains of my smoke and landed a stun. Couldb't believe they didn't pull off their shot as they had plenty of time. Does smoke affect gun targeting? I don't think I've ever used the gun in this game...

Get the wireless ones - uses a little transmitter that plugs into the back USB port of your Xbox - much nicer to only have a wire running from the controller to the headset. Especially if you have children, or dogs...

Oh yeah, I just noticed the gigantic last pic at the bottom, sorry, It looked a lot smaller when I clicked it. Anyways, personally I wouldn't buy the headset mufflers because after a while they hurt your ears/hearing, especially if you listen to loud people. I honestly prefer either of these, because their cheap, and if one breaks, you can easily get another cheap one. Oh and btw the top picture headset they make crappy (that's why they cut out sometimes) because Microsoft WANTS you to buy a better one for more money. That's why they include the free one, which is what I use & that's why it usually cuts out.

As long as you keep the mic volume down (which you can moderate with a decent gaming headset) damaging your ears really isn't a problem - and they can be really comfy too. Believe me, I'm really careful about my ears - I'm a musician and having tinnitus would RUIN me.
As well as this, it makes more sense to put down a larger initial payment and never have to replace it - you could easily spend twice the amount of a great gaming headset on replacement microsoft ones.
Still, I'm not trying to convert you, just playing devils advocate. :P

Oh there is nothing wrong with it - it's just not my stlye of play. I don't think I've ever used throwing knives, templar vision or charge either...

I was just very suprised that they never took their shot because I seem to recall the order of events was smoke, stun, gun sound, second stun and then my run through the smoke to stun the shooter. Something must've happened on their end to enable me to get this third stun.

I'll eventually go through and finish all the challenges but I imagine the gun/knives will be incredibly hard as they are so counterintuitive to my playing style.

I was at Florence with three pursuers. I spotted one of them and decided to take some distance from him by running so when he couldn't see me, I use Disguise. This was around that one area with all the tents.

Then I turn and start walking towards him, but as I do that I walk by two of my other pursuers. So all three of them are walking in one straight line and none of them spotted me.

So once I'm past all of them, I turn and I stun the last one from behind (the one who I was running from), then the second one and finally the third. All three of my pursuers gone in maybe 15 seconds. At that point I bursted out laughing, because if even one of them had turned at some point they would have seen me stunning the others. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Sorry if that was confusing to read but so was the whole situation :P I wish I had video of that because it was propably one my most brightest moments.

To me, it was this monday:
On Venice, I was targeting the priest. I was equipped with Templar Vision and poison was well as activating the x2 bonus. I got close and he stunned me. Then, my pursuer ground-killed me.
However, for some reason, I planted the poison just before i got stunned (extremely lucky)so that right after i got killed, i made my poisoned kill. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Manhunt with randoms. Two pursuers were on the church in Monteriggioni and I was waiting to smoke and stun then off the edge... I had throwing knives on my LB slot that I usually use for smoke... I accidentally knived the guy instead of throwing smoke... I stunned him anyway and then the other guy's kill animation missed. The guy fell off of the roof, then I stunned the guy who missed. They were mad and came right back up. Smoked, stunned both and ran.

Last night - Castel Gandolfo - comfortable 1100 point lead and playing with randoms. Two pursuers on me and I'm blending in the first outside area right between the two staircases. Abilities reloading. First pursuer comes down right stairs and hits Templar Vision I know I can't outrun him so I just rush and punch. Stun. Spin my camera around and see pursuer 2 coming down left stairs. 14 seconds before abilites reload. So I run up the stairs. Punch. Stun. By this time I'm laughing so hard I walk right past my target. Punch. Stun. Payback is a *****.

lol i finished playing with arianti(which i wound up getting first by idk how? lol)i won with 3900points? haha

leave that game, go into a room full of level 50 players. i wind up leaving that game with 5600points...with only 2 kills?! hahaha. both were slow poison lol, the rest were escapes, and stuns. snagged the early lead with 2 poison kills back to back after cooldowns and sat at 3700 points for a good while. then the pursuits started along with stun heaven haha

PWNED! made some people rage quite a bit, had a lot of "around the corner, naked stuns"

I was #2, with the Courtesan leading, when the final moments of the match start to roll in. My smoke and mute are in cooldown, so I decide to leg it (no target at the moment) and see if anyone follows me.

Well, they do, and a chase follows. I run for my life praying for my smoke to finish its cooldown (only a few seconds to go), and it does. I drop it in a narrow corridor between a tent and the edge of the map, and here comes my pursuer... Who could it be?

As I'm in midair I see someone zigzag below me and I think "that's not an NPC." I land in front of them, somersault, turn around and punch in one fluid movement. Stun.

I was the footpad standing in a blend group with an NPC footpad. I hear whispers and see the harlequin power-walking my way, followed closely by the mercenary doing the same. I have multiple pursuers so I figure they're both after me. My disguise is about to cool down so I leave the group and walk around the corner. I put on the disguise and become a smuggler, then head back toward the corner.

Sure enough the harlequin is coming out of a jog and turning the corner, so I slug him one. The mercenary sees this happen, so I run over while my disguise is coming off and slug him too. I was the footpad again by the time the second stun animation ended. Haha I was surprised it worked on the mercenary having just seen me pwn the harlequin, but maybe he thought the harlequin was after the smuggler.

I had a couple this past weekend I was quite proud of. One match I was paying I was leading by a few hundred points and with three pursuers I decided to go where the herald is yelling at MSM. I power morph the whole group in front of him then turn on disguise and walked into the group again. By walking into the group I create a duplicate with my blender perk and walk out again and take my place next to the herald. Sure enough the first one to go is the disguised duplicate and one by one they kill the other dupes. funny stuff considering i was watching them all 2 meters away.

Second one was pretty cool, though at the time it was more of a anger moment. I was following a group of morphed mercs and for the life of me i couldn't find which one he was. After about a good 45 seconds I got tired of following the group around and decided to random throwing knife one of them. Unfortunately I had forgot I had switched throwing knifes for decoy and with a stoke of luck a duplicate of me walked right in front of my lock. He goes running into the morphed group and I see the guy shoot off mute and stun bomb haha A nice slip of poison as he takes off running past me for a sweet 600 points lol.

Pretty sweet way to use Decoy offensively! Definitely a good tactic to try to get used to.

Don't know if this is a can't believe that worked moment, but I was four kills down with Smoke Poison on, and I successfully got Incgonito/Hidden/Focus/Poison on my target, then my pursuer gives me the jump a couple of seconds later and as I'm desynching, I see the score tally up and Score X2 comes up. I'm thinking WTF! Awesome! 1,700 points shooting me up from 8th to 3rd? Why, I don't mind if I do!

I was playing chest capture for the first time. I was the engineer defending a chest from the executioners with a partner. As my partner ahead launched a smoke bomb, it got two of my opponents with another just out of reach, so that one stunned my teammate who walked out of the bomb's reach. What happened was that i entered a killing spree killing the three opponents in very close range. To add injury to insult, the fourth opponent came and i beat him to kill the entire team all in less than fifteen seconds (maybe tweleve). with two previous kills without dying before the fiasco, i delivered a six man killing streak (with the +750pt bonus equipped) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Nicely done! Nicely done.

I don't know about you guys, but I always feel good when I kill a disguised player. Most of the time it's because they're the only person in my LoS so they're hte only reason the compass is lighting up, but sometimes you just instinctively know, and when you get those kills it feels pretty good.

I was in Rome and had three pursuers. I was in a morphed group and my morph had cooled down again, but I didn't have mute yet. I had identified the thief as one of my pursuers, and she was following my group (I was in the back), so I ran through some chase breakers once my group walked by them. I ran to a market blend spot and hit morph. My mute cools down, the thief comes through a chase breaker, she's uncomfortably close to me so I choose to mute and stun her. The footpad comes around the other corner just after this, and he hesitates so I get a naked stun.

The footpad gets up, and ever the sportsman, decides to wait inside my morph group for his next contract in case he gets me again. He does get me again, (super fairly) and then proceeds to kill

This is kind of a fail on my part but it was a "I Can't Believe that Worked" moment. xD

My friends and I were playing manhunt against each other three weeks ago in Florence and we were all in the marketplace area. One on the target team is sitting on top of a lift, waiting for his abilities to come back, so I told the guy on my team, "Get into a position where you can catch him," because I expected him to simply jump off and try to get away. Well, I get up there and SOMEHOW I was muted and punched, and fell all the way to the ground. I could NOT believe it. I've tried it every time before and it has NEVER worked!

And then another. I was in alliance mode in San Donato, pubbing when my partner left me while I was in third. There was a little over a minute left in the game by this time. Somehow within the last few seconds I walked up to the footpads I was going after, poisoned one, stunned a pursuer, let the other footpad kill my other pursuer and then I killed him. With about FIVE MILLION BONUSES (lol, actually it was enough to get greater variety plus 3. Almost got extreme.) I scored 1800 or so, and I took the lead with three seconds left. I couldn't believed that actually worked.

Okay, hilarious Florence moment. Naturally, because it's Florence, everyone is up on the top middle part. So I'm up there after just killing my target, and since I have no pursuers I don't feel bad about being on a roof. My next target is a Hellequin who is on a building one over. So I run over to the clothesline thing and start running towards her, like an idiot. She sees me, stops walking, and obviously is waiting to see if I come any closer before she books it. So I think "Uh, uh-oh, look non-chalant". So I simply TURN THE OTHER DIRECTION. I'm not moving, just waiting on this clothesline with my back to her. Wouldn't you know it, she starts coming towards me, starts crossing the clothesline, I turn around and get a Silent (maybe incognito, can't remember) acrobatic kill! I bet she was like "Why did I fall for that?"

I was playing Advanced Wanted, was on a roof (I forget which map) and started hearing the whispers. I saw the Barber walking my way, also on the roof and figure he is my pursuer. Since my target was no where close, I decided to hoof it, jump down to the ground and join a stationary group (with blender perk). So I am standing there next to my clone and the Barber walks up to the edge of the roof and looks down. I can tell he isn't sure of his target because he hesitates. I then hit him with a throwing knife and he falls off the edge of the roof. I run up to try to stun him once he gets up (probably a dumb move on my part) and his pursuer, who just happens to be my target, flys down off of the roof and kills him. I easily got my target at that point, but I was really surprised, and pleased, at how well the throwing knife worked...

This is more "I can't beleive that just happened!!" as there was only minimal planning on my part. But I didn't want to start s new thread just for this ;-)

Playing some really great games today with DoctorEurope, Si11y Moo and some peoples who I've already forgotten (sorry!). Rome, Wanted, chilling at the front of the Pathenon when I realise I'm all alone and my defenses are on cooldown. I wander nonchalantly to one of the blend groups at the side which at least have some NPCs to Blenderise. Just as I join the group, I see s red chase arrow and "Stay Hidden". Defences still on cooldown, persuer too close to run, all I can do is pray.....

Lure, Escape, Close Call, Greater Vsriety, 1st Place, LOLs. The 1st place did't last as long as the grin on my face http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I do this WAY more than I hould be able to... But you know those situations where there's like 3 of your pursuers coming after you at the same time and they have you surrounded? So what do you do? Stun 2 of them and hope for the best? Wrong. You stun all three of them and continue to naked stun-lock all of them by yourself for a total of about 11 stuns. Seriously there are times where I actually say "That guy should've killed me."

Picture the scene: There we are, in Siena near the chase breaker tent at the far top left-hand side (from the fountain), with fifteen seconds left and I'm in first. I have three pursuers, two of which I see quick marching my way and I ready my Firecrackers to blind them and peg it. I go to throw my Firecracker, but notice a Mercenary had just gotten too close for comfort. Buggery, I've been poisoned. Aww stuff it; I hit RB and use Charge for the hell of it. My compass lights up and I enter a Chase, but hit my target unintentionally who was obviously after one of my pursuers!!! I get +150 (Kill/Revenge.) That extra +50 kept me in first. I had one yesterday. It was a wanted match in Venice. I was stood behind the cloth screen the other side of the haystack where a group gathers next to the chase breaker. Using blender I had just one other persona like myself with 3 pursuers on me. One by one they turned up with just enough gap between them so that when they picked the civilian instead of me, I had time to jump out and back in to create another one like me. All of them picked the wrong target and I ended up stood next to my target to get a hidden kill.

Today on WANTED, i stuned my (only) pursuer when a glitch occured. The red pursuer marker on him didn't dissapeared. Curiously,i waited for him. Just when he was up, I stunned him again. He was faster the next time, enough said.

Yes, i stunned the same pursuer twice in a row in a free-for-all match.

I have done that myself, I was just as surprized.

And, watching a pursuer with TV active, kill my decoy... Seriously, this did happen.
