At the risk of sounding completely ignorant. Is there an instruction guide tht helps newbies learn how to play and utilize the tools available to them? I've been fighting with this game for the better part of 2 days and its completely whipped me. I can't seem to put things together.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Man,
I can't begin to tell you. I know that I'll enjoy the game once I figure out how to play, but, right now its kicking my .......butt.
For instance, on the submarine training, where the object is to navigate to a specific location, my problem is, that I can't figure out where my sub is to begin with. If I open up the navigation screen, I can see my destination, but, can not find my location ANYWHERE on the map. So, if I'm to find the location, how, without knowing my own location, am I supposed to do that?
I know its because I just installed the game, but, right now, I'm not getting it. And I want to figure it out.

I think ctrl-mouse click will center the map on your boat.

if not that your sub is the GREY circled spear shaped object on the nav map
