I Think the content should be free..

2 main reasons:

1. If you have to pay to download Weapons, it'll be hard for people that havent downloaded them to find a room where they can play (seeing the game should kick out back to the menu (i.e. mp_weapons_03-7-5.xxx not found)

2. Ubi konws how much **** we had to go though since the games release http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif, in retro spect.. they owe the remaining players one for not taking the game back or abandoning it overall..

The people on RS3:BA had to wait this long for a patch as well and their patience was indeed rewarded with.....a $5 charge if they wanted to continue to enjoy the game. Not a free download for their trouble. Microsoft and the game developers take advantage of this thing called your Friend's List.

We think the Friend's List is a good thing that allows us to build a group of people that we enjoy playing with. We incorporate this group into almost every game we play every night. Ubisoft is well aware of this fact and exploit it by charging for DLC. What this does, is form a domino like effect. So, half your group of friends that have the money to spare cause the other half to buy it even if they don't want it because that's the only way they can continue to play that game fully with their friends. It turns your friends who buy the DLC into free advertisers for Ubisoft. Regardless of whether the maps suck or not, the people who buy them are going to tell you that they are great simply because misery loves company and that's the plain truth of it. Ingenious marketing for Ubi and Microsoft. The friends list is not to your benefit....it's how they suck more money out of you.

Thanks for the info Chunk. BTW...I wasn't referencing this DLC in particular. I never commented either way on this one. Nor does the fact that it's free change the way the friend's list affects and assists the marketing of DLC in general. But that is certainly good news. So far all of the Ghost Recon stuff has been free, is that correct?

Being charged for DLC really pisses me off cuz really.. does microsoft need anymore money from you? They already make you pay for live and what not. Most likely its gunna be free and they better bring my MP5 back in http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.. They also need more urban levels because they only have liek ghost village which hell.. its a village. Oh and it'd be great to see the m16 WITHOUT the grenade nade launcher strapped to it cuz u can't use it with explosives off =/

It's out! I downloaded it at about 9 this morning (EST) and messed with it for a few minutes. Can't wait for the new maps in the 2nd DLC!

Played with the new DLC last night, i`m happy with the new saw, and mp5, it was fun to use, and the s/sniper rifle was great to use...
I must see if you shoot the s.sniper rifle if the enemy, still spots you from thenother side of the map..?
