The A.I. is better. Look A.I. will never act like real life. However it will get better. The will always be improving the A.I, and as far as collisionn detection its fine. The rag doll physics are amazing.

I've never really noticed a problem with CT's collision detection (nothing like the first two).
Also, the AI in every game has nowhere to go but up. As more resources and hardware become available (ie next-gen systems), AI can be developed an refined even more. I truly think that we will get to the point where game AI will become EXTREMELY lifelike. However, this would require a significant amount of processing power and may not come until at least the XBOX 720 (my name--gonna get a patent on it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )...

LoL ^^
Uhh, well the ragdoll physics owned, despite that at times they seemed a little bit boneless. And the A.I. definitely could improve, it has many flaws just like every other AI, sure it will be better in SC4 because of the next-gen advantage, but it wont be lifelike.

What is SC:SARD?
Ninjitsu: The first game is just called Splinter Cell. Not Splinter Cell: Stealth Action Redifined, so... don't ever do that again.
kthx
I think, thought, what he meant by 'better collision detection' is that when you walk behind and NPC, he never feels you.

he probably also means no clipping through walls or curtains or anything.

it sure does happen in single player.
here is just one example: when you 1st enter the cave, the rope bridge is ahead and to the right.cross the bridge, turn right, then right again and drop off and hang onto the edge of the cliff. now shimmy toward the bridge till your next to it. look at Sam's arms, they go right through the rock.
i can't remember all the times Sam has been next to a wall and while turning, the rifle goes into it.

maybe if you get a headshot on the NPC, they wouldn`t simply zoom to the ground, but land on there knee's then flat on their face. it takes time for the muscles to untense so maybe they can stand there for 1/2 a second before dropping
