Save your money and get F.E.A.R or Prey for now, and wait 'til SCDA price drops to $9.99! Seriously, look at the posts, this game is mired in problems

Don't judge whether it would work by running the demo only. A demo constitutes work in progress and does not represent the final product.

Wait until a number of patches have been released.

Wait till a patch which fixes a lot of stuff, and that people CONFIRM that most of those problems are actually solved.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

If that's what you get in the demo there's no reason to think it won't happen in the full game either. If I was you I'd wait for a patch to address this issue before you get Double Agent.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Hmmm..., I finished the game like 15 minutes ago with the best ending (there are three endings). I would say that you should wait for a while until the price drops and Ubisoft properly patches this game.

Graphics and sound (effects and voice acting) are really good. There is a good variety of missions. You get tons of gadgets to use and overall the game has maintained its stealth gameplay. Also the gameplay forces you to make some interesting moral choices during game.

But on the other hand the game too short when compared to the previous ones. Its plagued with bugs (like the loading problem in Kinshasa). It has high system requirements (it won't even run without shader 3.0 but I think your graphics card will do fine).

It also has this funny traffic light system for stealth indication instead of the light and sound indicator like in Chaos Theory. At times it makes the game highly unrealistic, like when you are clearly visible but a guy passes 2 meters in front of you but doesn't see you because you have "green" light...

Double Agent has some really good ideas but this game should have been tested a lot more and designed to support more systems before being released.

I really miss Chaos Theory. The series has taken a blow with the PC version of Double Agent. I made the mistake of immediately buying the game when it got released. When Conviction comes out, I am going to wait and see what the reviews and forums have to say before making a decision.

I'd wait till a new patch comes that fixes most of the common problems.

Apparently Sam Fisher hit a space warp in his parachute jump... LOL

If you have a good system with high end ATI card there's a chance that you can have a relatively smooth gameplay experience.

Oh yeah, if you have good system the game runs fine. I have a decent system so the game ran smoothly with nice graphics and sound effects (besides the problems I had with the bugs of course). The problem is that if you have anything that can be considered a-little-below-average PC in today's terms, Double Agent is going to frustrate you.

NO. This game is so messed up its ridiculous. You could get it, but it probably won't even start.

My computer runs CT at a constant 100fps, but the DA demo runs at 30 at the best of time, and lower when there's lots of stuff happening.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I would say no.

Wait and see if UBI sort things out.

There is a good game under all the mess though.
