Game lags while racing etc

Hi.

I've installed and I'm playing this game for 3 days now and while in free roam game runs fine, but when I start race or have some cops after me, game starts to lag very much. I think it's a CPU issue.

I've got laptop with C2D 2.13 GHz, GT 240M, 4GB DDR2, Realtek integrated sound card.

I think you'll find its more a laptop issue to be fair. Although your machine isn't exactly old spec it may be pushing things to run it on a laptop. Lagging problems are often associated with sound and/or graphic card issues.

C2D SHOULD be ok though.

But why does it run smooth in free roam and not while on event. I don't get it.

Simply because there is a lot more going on when you race/chase around. Try to downgrade some of the graphic options, turn off the music and such to see if it improoves.

Well.

I've tried to turn off all the sounds and I've lowered all the graphics down, tried windowed mode. Doesn't matter which graphic setting is selected, game runs still the same.

On a laptop I'd be pretty sure that it's caused by the sound card and possibly the Graphic card not being powerfull enough or causing a conflict. Sorry I can't be any more help than that at the moment.

Have you got the most up to date Graphic card drivers.

I'll try and update my graphic card driver and sound card aswell.

Well. I've got the most actual graphic drivers I can have and now I've installed actual sound drivers but problem still persist.
