I've been having trouble with my LG GSA-4081B DVD-Burner and discovered some interesting info.
I believe there is a problem with firmware version 1.04
After installing firmware version 1.04, my drive was unable to read ANY DVDs or DVDRs, although CD/CDRs worked just fine.
What I did was install version 1.01 (version 1.00 is what originally came on my drive) which can be found here:

However, this has not fixed my Myst installation, I'm still having troubles.
I attempted to fix your broken link, but the forum software used don't allows some characters in the URL like &,(, and ).
