KU, English might not be his first language. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif As to the poster, the only real reason ubisoft have delayed the game is for a simultanious release on all platforms, and to polish the game. That's why its not coming out in november.

I agree completely with Desert Hawk, but have you guys considered one possibility, that the delay was caused by us? I don't know, I'm kind of new to this forum stuff, but if UBI just tried putting a 1/10 of the stuff (and junk) that you guys have asked for in the game, then it'd be years before SCCT! I suggest that in the future we ask for necessairy stuff, and not whine for junk that's just gonna make UBI feel that they need to "polish" the game. (ex: blood marks, realistic gun effects, 1,000 new killing moves, like punching with your back to a wall, replacing the whistling, requiring perfect graphics and effects, etc.) I know I'm talking for a while here, but do ya get my point? Do you think Halo 2 was postponed because of "polishing", or because fans expected perfection?????

Ubisoft dont actually read these forums. The community manager might pass on a sensible idea, but they dont put in everything we ask for. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif The reason the need to polish CT, is because in the 2 years developing it, 6 months was spent making the engine, which means that its only been developed for 1.5 years. I reckon they'll use the other 5 months wisely. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

That was my point. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif The game isn't finished so they're using the other 5 months to polish it up...http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Are you sure the game isn't finished? What if they are just postponing it because they want to release them all at once? I mean if they had gave a November release date for Xbox and PC then wouldn't they have known those versions would be finished by then? Don't you think they came up with SvM for this because of the delay? I dunno I am just guessing here since they made it clear awhile back that SvM was not going to be in it and that it was going to focus on Co-Op and such, so do you think them wanting to release them all at once would hinder Xbox and PC fans so they decided to add more stuff like SvM and the likes so we wouldn't be extremely pissed because they held it to be released with the inferior versions? This make any sense? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

you know what? now i REALLY wish they released it in november in its unfinished state. then all the WHINERS would realise that the game is NOT FINISHED! why would the community manager lie? I really, sincerely wish it came out as is...then people would say that the game is SOO **** WHY DIDNT UBI WORK ON IT MORE and ubi can just say, you didnt believe us when we said the game isnt finished, so we gave it to you in it's glitchy, buggy state because thats what you wanted. i wish they released the nowhere near final build so that the people on the boards would learn to SHUT UP because they are so **** nerdy they cant wait a few more months to see a better game than if they released it like it was at gamestars live. man, i am sick to death of all the whiners and arguers on these forums. sorry, ive simmered down a bit now, but i just hate the way people reckon ubi soft is lying to us.

actually, you guys are saying that its probably finished, they are just delaying it for SvM and a multiplatform release, well look at the gamestars live videos! do they look anywhere near done? how about the levels? they have only showcased a few...maybe they still have to build and debug the other ones?

i hope i dont get flamed for this post, i just want people to realise that they are asking for just a bit too much.

Yes, If U look at the Gamestars vids, U can see that Sam's gun is floating on his back, and other stuff is a bit hinky (what a word)
Anyway. I think UBI did a good desicion ( is that even a word? ) when they delayed it to complete it completely. ( http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif I write sucky, I know)

I would flame you, but you got it right on http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif I agree 100% with your entire post. Guaranteed if it was released in November the whine threads would run rampant within the first week. "Chaos theory - was it rushed?" "Ubi needs to fix this NOW" "Game freezes" "Where's the AI we were promised?" .. It was a disappointment at first when Rhoulette announced the delay, but like you said in some of the vids, there are minor little things that need to be worked out and ironed out. I don't mind the delay at all.

And to the "halo 2" theory on the delay NavySealz mentioned .. I'll assume you're joking so I can laugh with you, and not at you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yeah I totally agree with that. I'd still rather have it come in March. But it would be entertaining seeing all the whiners whining even more.

Well the reason I think otherwise is because first of all why did they set that world wide date of November if they were not sure it was close to done? Also why was part of the excuse is cuz they want a mass release of all platforms when if the PC and Xbox versions were not close to finished then the mass release wouldn't even be a factor? Also it was also said that they wanted to polish it more.... which means to my ears that it is basically done but they wanna add to it, I mean polish means the game is done but they wanna spruce it up more than it was, if it wasn't close to done then polishing it wouldn't be a factor either since polishing an unfinished game is redundant.
To be honest I really dunno what to think about it anymore so I just don't think about it, I just accept the March release as is and go about wanting info and such like everyone else, but I think it was that intended November release date for the PC and Xbox version that screwed it up, the date was in the trailers, if they were not close to done then wouldn't it have been wiser to just say coming soon? I dunno it seems like a normal game delay with a few unusal twists to it. I trust Ubi but the above just doesn't make sense to me.

It doesn't take 5 months to polish a game. They wouldn't have given the game the original November release date if it wasn't finished or extremely closed to finished. They also said SvM would never see the light of day on sc3.

It’s simple, they didn't want to compete with Halo2, HL2 etc. It's a smart business tactic, but at the same time it can be a double edged sword. They're risking losing the sales they could have gotten from the Christmas period. They would be crazy to release the game when so many highly hyped up games are being released in the some period. I guess they figure well we now have this extra time, might as well use it.

first of all, rhoulette said that they had svm in mind a long time, they jus wanted to surprise us.second,i dont think ubi wants to compete with anybody(rite now).they kno that the fans of this game will definetly buy this game.unless your a halo fanboy and say **** sc,im gettin H2.

Yep because people who don't usually buy games will be buying them in spades as Xmas gifts, Ubi will probably miss those important sales and then in March it will be only the SC fans who buy it instead of people who wonder in gamestores in the Xmas sprit with a pocket full of cash looking for an awesome game. If SCCT is gonna be so great then why can't it compete with Halo 2 and GTA SA? It is like Ubi doesn't have too much faith in the game if they are afraid to release it next to such an overhyped game, heck I am sure Halo 2 will get some returns and that money could have had a chance of going to Ubisoft for SCCT, but it will release in March with Final Fantasy XII which is a much bigger game than Halo will ever be because men and women and children are in the Final Fantasy fanbase. I will have my copy of both games but it seems that avoiding Halo 2 has put SCCT into the dragon's den face to face with Final Fantasy XII and from the looks of the trailers of FFXII, it looks to be a stunning game. Those are my thoughts.
