I am so fed up with the online portion of this game that I'm going to sell my copy at EB Games. Ubisoft has failed to support an excellent game and seems to be more interested in adding more and more stuff when the basics are so flawed - the servers confound me. I have a cable modem with a static IP and I routinely hit 1Mbps with online speed tests but I have yet to play on a server where lag wasn't a serious issue. Also, the rockets, team killers, and general BS with the online games is too much. I submitted a question / request about why east coast servers use 1.2 and west coast uses 1.1 I don't have 1.2 and living in Georgia, i assume part of my issue is trying to connect to west coast servers. Why would Ubisoft allows online games with 1.2 if they have recalled the patch and players like me can not even try that version. Oh well, that is just one man's opinion but Ubisoft lost a customer today.

as far as 1.1 - i have no choice. i bought the game after the 1.2 patch recall and I can't find the download anywhere. Also, i have a ATI video card which i read somewhere was buggy with the patch.

Should have figured some ******* would post a sarcastic reply but I stand by my original post.

Why released mods, SDK, etc etc when the game is seriously flawed.

I can't wait for EverquestII. Got my alienware computer on order - oh yeah.

1. no i dont use reockets i am a kickass engi (and have witnesses go ask any member of |pG| or <?> or BSR or many other clans

2. i bet u havent used the search button on these forums have you? its posted about 100 times...

3. don't belive that ATI ****, it runs fine on an ATI card (i have one myself)

Another engineer here. this same question is left unanswered - why would ubisoft continue with two versions of the game - it's stupid. if you make a decision, stand by it. recall the patch and take it off the "official" servers.

I do appreciate the ATI comment. When I first enter a game and have a good connection, i never have problems with my video card.

some people dont have problems hence the 1.2 being up too. 1.2 is tons better than 1.1 isk what anyone says, get it and problem solved.

Dude you got a sarcastic reply because you jumped in with your second post acting like an ******* claiming the games rubbish, you can't get the patch anywhere, and all the gamers online suck etc... What exactly were you expecting, a round a applause?

Now if you'd come and said "I've got XXX problem, can you help?" you would have had a fix most likely.
Now the fact you can't find a patch means you are a clueless idiot that should have his 1mb connection taken away and given to someoen that needs it it. lol
You could find it with a websearch, countless download sites still have it freely available, but hey you didn't want to ask about that.

Also, you're blaming UBI, when its Crytek that make the game and the patches, so at least blame teh right people if you're going to shout your mouth off about something.

The reason half the UBI servers run the 1.2 and others run 1.1 is that they know that about half the people that installed it had problems, and the other half loved it, so they went with a comprimise hoping not to piss off everyone by either fully pulling the patch and servers, or not pulling it at all and leaving half the gamers with a patch that didn't work for them and all teh servers using it.

So frankly I think that is a smart move from UBI to do that, but you're too wrapped up in your own little hurt to think of the big picture it seems.
Sure it sucks that the patch wasn't right, but that kind of **** happens when you're fixing computer games or patching them.

I'm sorry - Ubisoft is selling the game so they are ultimately responsible. And i didn't say all the gamers were doing those things - just that the people who are are ruining the game and ubisoft/crytek/whoever is responsible hasn't done anything and isn't addressing the issues.

Dont' get me wrong - i loved the game. Played it hours a day then went online after i finished it.

I paid over $40 bucks for this game and i expect it to work right. i never had these issues in EQ or SWG.

There are many other games worth playing instead of waiting on all these fixes.

Dude I have to say either you've not played many games or you've been the luckiest gamer on teh planet not to have bought a game that had issues. I've not come across a PC game yet that hasn't had at least one patch released for it, or has needed one or more patches to get it right without bugs in it.

I always say if you want a game with little or no bugs don't buy it for at least 6 months after its release and then you might be lucky. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well then you never played Clive Baker's <span class="ev_code_RED">Undying</span>. Of course, it didn't have any MP to it and I thin there were a few bugs they could have addressed.

I can understand his frustration with regards to the servers running two different versions. It would make more sense to me to have official 1.1 and 1.2 servers on both coasts. so that everyone can enjoy a lag free experience regardless of their geographical location.
I'm not a clan member but I am a squad member of several Fighter sims. The one thing that will get you dressed down by your squad leaders faster that anything is to be disrespectful to others whilst playing or in the forums. Regardless of what he said or your opinion of his views I would think that your respective clans "Code of Conduct" would require an apology both to jvmullis and the forum for your grossly unwarranted and slanderous name-calling.

Thanks for that reply Doon1. The only reason I posted to begin with was to let ubisoft/crytek know that I (and many others) are frustrated and there just seems to be a lack of response. I had tried to address the server issue through a support request but just got a response saying their group wasn't responsible for the servers and that it would be forwarded to the appropriate group. That was about 2 weeks ago.

Anyway, like i said, it's one man's opinion. Other than the issues I've mentioned, the game rocks and there are some new and unique features. Hope they fix the other stuff soon.

I use rockets.Straight up.If I'm about to get capped and can use a rocket to save myself, you betcher*** I'm gonna use them. I also use the razor knife, shotgun, all machine guns(and their subsequent rocket launchers), sniper rifle.How can someone mess up a game by not using cheats, and taking advantage of all of its inherant assets?.
