Hi guys.
I've just bought a new motherboard and processor. Reinstalled XP and RVS. Put it all my old stuff on it and now I can not play RVS any more. I get this error.
I've never had that problem before. Any guess ??
I had an xp1.9 and now a xp 3.0 with nforce2 motherboard.
Still have the same cd-rom drives. I don't even have alcohol120% or anything

seems like you forgot to upgrade your drivers.

Is it a dialog box where it says, "Cancel, Try Again, Continue", if that is the case, try pressing continue, it happens if drive changes letter.

did you install the motherboard drivers immediately after installing windows? If not, that causes serious problems affecting system stability later on. Latest drivers from the manufacturer websites? Perhaps a scratched disk or a loose hardware component? Lots of different things can go wrong with PC's. That's why most businesses and non-gamers go with Macs, everything is made to work with everything else. Very stable systems, but crap to game on.
