Hi guys i just thought about graphic and stuff like that and as I saw the Vid with game play and all that stuff i thought "**** is my 7300LE powerful enough???"So i play FC with 1280x1024 and "Very High" Graphical level , will this be possible in FC2 Too???

I want a 8800GTS but ain't got the money yet .

Think also about the "Normal gamers" who want the game but who are not well equipped .

Here are my 3 relevant system spec's :

Intel Pentium 4HT with 3,40GHZ
1024 Mb RAM
Nvidia Geforce 7300LE 256Mb Turbocache

I don't think recommended specs have been released yet, but I think it's safe to say that there is no way you will get good performance at high (or even medium) settings on that system.

Ok thx 4 the answer .

U guys need to make serious work on that cuz I can play FC with the VERY HIGH graphic level but if that aint possible in FC2 i'm messed up ,cuz i love high graphics ,and we all know if the graphics ain't high the game makes no fun .

Er, Far Cry is also a 3 year old game, and will be even more antiquated by the time Far Cry 2 comes out. You can't really expect a relatively outdated or underpowered system to give you the best quality and performance in a new, cutting edge game.

are u stupid or somthing? u think they will make the sequel with excactly the same detail level as the original game, instead of exploiting the new shader options that have become available in recent years, and stronger processors, dx 10, etc etc etc....?

@Barret: Re the Crysis demo. Dont know what settings you think you have, but Very High is currently disabled for DX9 cards which is what you have. Also with my 7800GTX the best I get with everything on medium except post processing and shadows which are set to low is iro 25FPS and even then Im getting some tearing. A buddy of mine is struggling to get 25FPS on his 8800GTS at medium/high settings, although his resolution is 1600x1000

So for Crysis I would definately upgrade if I were you.

As for FC2 at this stage we really dont know...

A case of wait and see imo, I definately wouldnt upgrade before the next Nvidia series of cards launches (allegedly next month), and if your focus is more FC2 than Crysis I would wait until the spring...

Just edited my post, you were too quick replying! lol

Intel Pentium 4HT
Is that a dual core? Im not that up to speed with Intels nomenclature.
If its not both that and your RAM will also limit you for Crysis, though not as much as your GPU (You can run the benchmarks in the Bin32 or Bin64 folder of the Crysis demo)

Its an single core but overcloked by alienware (if u prefere its DELL)to 3,90GHZ and its run like a Lamborghini lol

Well the Devs have said that FC2 will run on a very high end single core, so you will be able to run it, but with the level of destructability they have shown in the vids so far I would imagine it would struggle a bit, especially with only 1GB of memory.

All speculation of course until UBI release some specs, or we get our hands on the beta/demo/game...

I find it pretty hard to believe that you could play Crysis at anything above low settings all around with that system.
