Shadow of the Colossus...a MASTERPIECE

This game is visually stunning, has amazing variations of each colossi with unique ablilities, wonderful environments and great sound to go with its simple but great gameplay. Most of the time you spend playing this game will be you just looking at it. If you have it, what are your thoughts on the game? (and don't say riding around on Agro looking for a Colossi is boring, suck it up, that horse is your best friend.)

seriously this has the best grahpics ever(if you don't count the xbox 360).i would give it a 9.5 and i have only played a little bit of the game.

Uncfan, i thought the graphics were bad at first, but once you get past the opening scene, everything blooms to life.

it's not yet releases her in Europe so I wont get to play it until february I think ... but It looks really good, I am just not sure if running around looking for bosses to kill is going to be enjoyable but I will play it of course anyway.

it doesn't sound that fun but once you start playing it it's a whole different experince

It doesn't come out in Europe until late February, but I'll definately rent it if not buy it when it's released.

I dunno...it's sounds like a good game at I've seen trailer and it looks pretty good, but it doesn't seem like I'd enjoy the game all that much.

I'm an action adventure kinda guy with more action, while this game looks like more adventure. The colossi fighting does look like a lot of fun, but I think riding around looking for a monster would get a little boring. Plus it's kinda odd that you and I think your childhood friend (who I think needs to be cured from a sleeping illness and you need to kill and find all Colossi to heal her...correct me if I'm wrong) and the 16 collossi are the only animals in this land...

but yea the graphic do look great. Maybe I'll rent the game if I get a PS3.

Oh and how long to you think it takes to find a collosi

well you use your sword to point you in the right direction, if you do hat right, it wont take long at all, say anywhere from a minute to five minutes. if you DON'T do that right (which is hard to do, just move the sword around until the controller vibrates and you got it) then you will spend HOURS searching, but dont let the riding the horse thing fool you. It's like swinging through the city in spider man, you can just enjoy swinging around.

Really, I thought it was much longer...maybe like 20-30 minutes if your going in the right direction.

On average how long is a Collossi battle

they ALL vary, the first fight is only a few minutes long (once again, if you do it right) point your sword towards a colossi to find its weak point, climb on him, weaken him, get to his head and stab him, boom he's gone. other fights vary much more and can take numerous tries and lots of time. the difficulty of fighting them crosses over to the difficulty of even getting ONTO them. nonetheless, thats the fun part! learning a really cool way to plant yourself on the beast is awesome. colossi battles take anywahere from five minutes too....i'd say twenty....

i know this is really old news for most of you. but i just started to play this game and i don't know if it's the disk (since it's rented) or the game but i've never played any game crashes so many times. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif
i've just killed the second colossi(bull lookling one) and everytime i ride out to the third one before i can get there it crashes, and everytime i go the edge of the world it freezes up and crashes. does any body had this promblem? is it worth keep trying?

foto, this game is worth buying as the title of the thread implies, its probably just the disk for you. as for agro, you have to get used to him, its almost like taming an actual horse.

I'm probably going to buy Ico for my birthday or something, it's an incredibly cool game, one of the first ps2 titles actually, ever since sotc got so popular, they put it back in stores for a while in the UK i heard, but sadly, in America, we have to be lucky enough to find one on the internet or have a gamestop that still has an unbought copy...which MINE does! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I'm reserving it lol
