View Full Version : Bug with end of "Fort" level.

Hi. I recently bought Far Cry and patched to version 1.31. However, the part where you have to run past the explosion in the communications facility on the fort level seems to be bugged.
I'll run and jump down the cliff and get killed, run and crouch, get killed, run and crawl fifty feet from the fire, and get killed.
Nothing works.

you should be running down a long hallway, not jumping down any cliffs.
Is fort the third level? If not, I may be thinking of something different . . .

Yes. I run down the hallway and get to a cliff. I end up dying no matter which direction I go after I reach the end.

Its the part that when you placed the bomb and have to quickly run into the hallway right?
A movie should start playing where you can see the satelite blown up and the next level starts to load.
This game has many bugs in singleplayer. I think that you skipped a mission.

I've only noticed 2 that were very minor myself and I've gone through it about 20 times not including the custom map's.

Valerie bug
AI stuck during fighting each other
Repeating sound bug
Merc's helm godmode
Merc's shooting at you behind a wall!
Too name but a few. Maybe its not much but i find these bug VERY annoying. And im sure im not the only one.

These bug's I do not experience accept for the repeating gun maybe once a month.

Step back for just a minute about this godmode.Someone made a mistake by calling it a cheat for some reason.Let's see what does it do.Nothing really accept conveniently does not make you restart everytime you die however you will see a number up there constantly letting you know how much you suck. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/354.gif

Taking out the need to fight your way back to where you died and therefore changing the game...
Its only a cheat against yourself mate...
It has its place for map makers like you, and if people genuinely, no matter what cannnot beat the game...
However my point here is I have not experienced problems associated with it. Those that do should not complain as it is not part of the commercial release!

What i ment about this was about something i noticed. Merc with the helmets on cannot be killed when shooting at there heads even tough the impact is shown in animation.
Need proof? Load the Research level where u begin and across the hill take out your sniperrifle, somewhere near the fire place there are 2 mercs with helmets on and try shooting one in the helm, and you will see that he doesnt die, no matter how much you shoot at it.

In reference to your problem, it sounds like you have the Coop mod installed. If you go out that door, you will die, since its an Automatic Kill Zone. Your level is not ending, as you are not supposed to go out that door. If you do have the mod installed, save your PROFILE folder to another dir. Remove FarCry and do a complete Fresh install, using the same patch. Then, replace the default PROFILE folder with your old one.

Yes your right about that Cuz.Yes I guess for that reason it could be called a cheat.Not that it matter's but I think you know I can pretty much get through the game without dying it's just that I like to get through it in a faster manner lottsa times.

You have a prob. with your game,these guy's all die.
