First, sorry for my bad english, i'm french.

I have installed the Myst game 3 days ago and i still can't play. I'm getting a little frustrated here. I'm with Windows 2000 and the configurator of the game say that everything is fine (no graphic card or driver problem). When i start the game i got this

"Unable to create directory e:\\
/myst4/framework/base/private/win32/src/base/diskfile_native.cpp
line no 365"
with a retry abord or ignore choice.

What can I do to fix this? And what is this error? My game is install in my E: directory and I've tried to install the game in my C: directory and I get the same error screen. The Myst4 patch (1.02 version) didn't help at all.

I want to play, I loved so much the previous Myst games.

Please heeeelppp!

It's looking for the save file directory. Namely for your "My Documents" folder. You're going to have to create a "My Documents" folder where it thinks one hsould be. In this case it looks like it's looking for it in e:\

Also, make sure you have administrator access when installing the game under Win2K... I know this has caused problems in XP, so never hurts to make sure. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

thanks to everybody that tried to help. I found a easyer way to make the game woks.

I went to:
- "My documents"
- Propreties
- Target
- In the box "target folder location" I press "restaure default"

And it worked!!!!!!
I'm still frustrated at the ubisoft people because it's not everybody that set the "My documents" folder in the C: diretory. They shoud've tink about it.

Why can't it just look up the directory from the system's environment variables? This is a rather silly error on the part of the Ubisoft team. No other game does this to me.

I installed the game on my H: drive, and I never got a problem. And I don't think the games searches for a "My Documents" folder, because in the dutch version of XP it's called "Mijn Documenten" so...

Found a good workaround for this, just go into My Documents and manually create the folder "myst4-revelation savegames"
