carrier strike.

i'm using PF stand alone and i'm wanting to know if it is possible to launch what is today called an alpha strike. something like this: intel gets wind of a jap carrier getting ready to launch a air strike against henderson field on guadalcanal. and the US navy launch's all fighters and bombers from a carrier to attack the jap carrier. is it possible to make such a fight in the FMB?

Do you want to attack a carrier full of aircraft?

If you set the first two planes on each carrier to zero fuel they will just sit there and any planes behind them will be stuck no matter how much fuel they have. Do NOT put bombs or torpedoes on the first two planes as they will drop them when the mission starts and blow up all of the other parked aircraft.

On this forum you should say Japanese as some people find Jap to be offensive.

sorry about the word. i forgot how to spell the whole word. oh yea, how can i get carrier planes to carry torpedos?

Regrettably, there are no flyable carrier torpedo planes. The Avenger for the US carries torpedoes and I think it is the B6N for the Japanese. Both are computer controlled only.

If you have the full game you can fly the IL-2T off a carrier, but it has no hook so it can be tricky to land.
