Might and Magic Tribute 0.4

Version 0.4 of MMTribute is there. Items, shopping and inventory are now available.

This version adds a second overland map, items and objects, with new dialogues, art, music and sounds.
It is the last version where you can get around unchallenged ...

MMT_0.4.zip can be downloaded from SourceForge (https://sourceforge.net/projects/mmtribute).
Don't forget to install NET 2.0 first, if you have not done so already.

My dear sir, did you perhaps mis the ONE race of M&MVI compaired to the FOUR of VII or even better the SIX of it's predesessor M&MIV/V??

Or the SIX classes of VI compaired to the NINE of VII or the TEN of it's predesessor World of Xeen??


Yeesh, some people mis all the details. Oh and let us not forget the TWO endings of VII compaired to the ONE goody-two-shooes ending of VI.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Grim my lad, take it easy. Creating some classes, races and skills is not that hard. An amateur programmer could do that (NWC had pros). The two endings were good, but face it, it just looked to much lik MMVI. They could have upped the graphics a notch, used 3d sprites.

The game is very much the same as Might and Magic VI. It uses the same graphics engine (only adding hardware acceleration, which offered little improvement over the software engine), nearly completely the same audio effects (but introduces new musical tracks), the same skill & combat system (apart from the addition of Grand Master expertise in skills) and the same nonlinearity <div class="ev_tpc_signature">

If you leave the choice between MM6 and MM7 then there's no choice at all. Mandate is MUCH better than MM7. However, you're both wrong. MM2 is the best of the bunch. Period.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well, I can't really argue with Someone's logic there. MM9 is the only one I never finished, so it's "possible" it could be the best one. I couldn't get past the painfully horrible first portion of the game. *grin*
