Ubi,

I for one need to get a look at and feel for the F-14. I don't care if there are two or more variants - just give me one of them in the demo. Throw in the A-model - that'll be fine.

I'll put it in simple terms that you guys can understand. I am not going to spend the money to find out what it's like in game. This is mostly because with each passing day, in spite of the hopes I harbor, the game seems more and more the opposite of what I was looking for. It'd be a waste for me, and I'm not on board with that.

With all modesty, I suggest actually listening to some of our ideas here and in other topics - it could be good for you.

Thanks. (We'll see if I tack on "for nothing" to that pretty soon - that's up to you.)

Others,

Please add your thoughts/suggestions - for all the good it has done so far.

Ubi, while your at it, You should include at-least 3-4 fighters from the full game. probably another American Fighter and two European models. I just want to know what the difference between the fighters during gameplay will be, whether it be hit points, speed or armament.

Also make sure you include the free flight mode on one landscape with no time-limit so that we can get the most out of flying until the full game will come out.

I like the way you think, comrade.

I argee, there defiantly needs to be a demo, because it's looking like an arcade game, the advanced mode needs to have the option, in cockpit or rear cam.

I will wait for a demo.

20 minute Free Flight.
First to 10 kills Dogfight.
Two mini missions for online/offline.
Two types of fighter. something like F-14 and MiG.

That's all you need really.

What needs to be in the demo....

Well, a cockpit design, where the horizon gauge actually works, and the design is 100% authentic to the real thing. Not like that half assed Typhoon cockpit we saw in the video where they put gauges on the wrong side, completely left out the left side flat screen and had a horizon gauge that got stuck half way throught the video.

Hi I agree with the above comments that you need at least 3 fighters to get a good feel as to the differences with handling etc!
Also need a free flight mode with a limited area to fly in but maybe with a custom area not in the game to allow you to practice fast turns and dives, with low bridges, high rise towers and other things so you can get a good feel for the physics in the game world!
As to whether this free flight mode should be unlimited in time I'm not sure I think they have to limit it somehow that's why its a demo!
A must has to be an airstrip to take off and land on! they have to get this right!!!

i think the demo is very important, if the demo sucks, most people will think the real game sucks, i think the unlimited free flight would be cool, but with only about 3-4 aircraft, kinda like the BLAZING ANGELS 2 demo, we don't really need an online demo, thats a waste, but i think there should be a choice between 2 missions you can do, an Air-Air or Air-Ground, or you can just have one muli-role mission. anyway, there must be some sort of DEMO

Come to think of it we need infinite free flight so that we can squeeze as many maneuvers as we can from whichever jets we receive.

I don't think limiting the free flight in the demo would be a good idea.

UBI i noticed the F-35B is in this game and it has a gun! FAIL!!!!! You guys clam you being authentic but im doubting(yes i can tell the small diffrences between all 3 F-35 varients).

If you going to have the F-35B in this game take out the gun and put in a hover-mode.

Or Re-type F-35A and change the aicraft model. I'll re-check the game-shoots but last i checked it was an F-35B.

But i've got nothing to ask for the demo......course 4-player(or atleast 2-player)co-op would be cool.

he F-35b does have a GUN, every modern 3rd generation fighter has one, ITS MANDATORY,

Uh, couple things...

To the best of my knowledge, the F-35B (Marine variant) does not have an internal cannon, nor does the F-35C (Navy variant). Only the USAF's F-35A will come with an internal gun, though apparently there will be a gun pod for the other variants.

Modern jet fighters (F-22, F-35) are called "5th Generation." Gen-Three fighters are things like the F-4.

Having a gun is not mandatory. Tactically, it is dumb not to have one and I think it's a safe bet that whoever decided the DoN versions shouldn't be mounting an internal gun was not a fighter pilot. A gun pod will probably add more weight, will definitely add more drag and make the RCS bigger. Not having a gun is stupid, and takes away one more option from the pilot.

I think that this is how the demo should be structured.

They should only give us four, five or six fighters and thats it.

I think that this is the best list which will satisfy everyone. Certain aircraft should not be included but there should be at least one plane from each region, US, Europe, Russia etc. To give the players a good feel of the aircraft variety that the final game will feature.

1.F-14A or B
2.F-22 (its been featured in all tech demos so its already a giveaway)
3.Jaguar or Tornado or Rafale
4.Mig-23 or at least any other Mig or at least one Sukhoi but not too special or exciting like the latest SU or Mig models.
5.F-16A or any other European fighter.

I don't think you could go too wrong with that.

One, two or three missions but no more than three.

We should only start with one fighter to choose from but when we play the missions we get experience points to unlock the remaining fighters in the demo so that the player could get a feel of what the unlock system feels like. We should be able to replay the missions until we unlocked all demo fighters.

And infinite free flight so that we can get a good feel of how the fighters will handle.

Thats it, I would leave multiplayer for the full version. Maybe they should throw in a limited deathmatch mode so that people can see what its like online.
