PS3 Match Problems. HELP!!!!!

I am trying to host matches online, with my PS3, of maps that I have created. Everytime I try to create a match, it tells me "Failed to create the match". 10 minutes ago, I opened up TCP ports: 80,443,5223 and UDP ports: 3478, 3479, 3658 and nothing still happens. I run a direct connection to my router which is a NETGEAR RangeMax Router WPN824. I am a little anxious to play my maps but I can't. Can someone please help with any advice?

i have the exact same problem when trying to host maps on my ps3. so far yours is the only post i have seen detailing this. are we the only ones having this problem? if you hear of any answers let me know please.

try a new ps3 account name of less than 16 characters i havnt tried this yet but other people say it works

It worked. I created a user name that was 9 letters long and I have no problem now creating matches. Thanks for the advice.
