New Halo 3 Map = Lockout!

Yes thats right the last map for the Legendary map pack (coming to XBox Live on April 15) is called bBlackout and is a close remake of the Halo 2 clasic Lockout (you can read all the details and see pictures here http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=13413 ).

I really am SO happy right now I cant stop smiling http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif . The only fly I can see is they've added equipment... I'm really not sure that energy drainers/regens and a bouble shield will work game play wise on Lockout... but at least on the new MLG playlist/or in customs there wont be any equipment anyway so that shouldn't matter http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif . It's going to be so nice to have this map back to do 1 vs 1's and FFA on. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

That's your own fault. It was announced from the very beginning that it would be free in the Spring. I know that & I don't even own Halo 3 (which means I don't follow much of the news about it).

As for the new map, I looked at it last night & to me, it just looks weird. It looks more like something out of Lost Planet then Halo.

The special gametypes or tournaments that only exist for the weekend. Bungie often makes them give extra exp or have prizes. For example, there was the Valentine's Day hopper (essentially a Doubles tourny) and the one this past weekend for SWAT.

Well Bungie said the weapon placements was going to stay pretty much the same... so I imagine that that combined with the force of habit will keep most callouts the same (that or laziness anyway). BR/Snipe tower, elbow, open/closed/short ramp/s will likely stay the same regardless, library might change to baracks... I dont know about underglass/blue 1/2 though (I always called it lift 1/2 anyway) might change to top/bottom middle, but almost all serious players would still know what you meant regardless... so hopefully it wont be a a problem. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
