Hello folks, I am back from a great 2 weeks in Hawaii. It looks like there were some changes here.
I was using Firefox 1.0PR before I left and everything was working fine.
Today when I tried to access this forum using Firefox 1.0 and my old bookmark, the browser added about a page full of characters to the URL and finally gave a "URL too long" error message. If I turn off Java and Javascript, the long URL problem is solved but the page comes up blank. I can load WWW.UBI.COM (http://WWW.UBI.COM) and navigate to the forums and read posts but none of the buttons work so I cannot post, reply, read private messages or edit my profile.
All other websites work normally.
I am using IE to write this (which works fine for the forums)

I read that the forum was down for upgrades a week or two ago and they must have changed something.
Does anyone with Firefox have a fix? Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up in Java 5.
I was using Java 1.4.2 (4) but I just updated to 1.5.0 (5). Unfortunatly, No change.
Any other ideas?

OK, I disabled all extensions and restarted Firefox and the site now works (am currently using Firefox to write this). The strange thing is, I turned them all on again to see which one was causing the problem, and it still works!
Computers are great, its the software that drives you crazy.
Thanks to those of you who read and spent time thinking about this and Chris1808 for hooking me up with the latest Java.

No probs about java update. I think I got the link from the firefox forums. When you re-activated the extensions did you go one by one to see what happened?

Did you install pr-1 over the top of previosu version or as a clean install of browser

This was a clean install after uninstalling 0.93 but I used the old extensions and bookmarks as per installation instructions. Other sites worked OK but not this one. I turned off all extensions and it worked then turned on extensions one at a time and tested after each one. When I was done, everything worked fine.
