Heritage of Kings Ballista Tower problem

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help my son?
He's been stuck on building the two ballista towers in crawford for ages, he's built two towers to the west of the town, but it won't let him move on to the next task. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how do we get round it? He's tried a few times now, but still can't advance.

Have the towers be able to get built?
Does he have the resources to build the towers?

I have completed the game a few times on hard and seen no issues like this, but without something missing like the minerals to build them.

I cannot believe, that after him being stuck on this for about 6 months, he manages to solve it within 10 mins of me asking the question! Grrr!!!
I'm not sure what he did, but he found a designated spot that he hadn't found before to build on, and it enabled him to build more towers and advance.

Kids, put on this earth to make their mums look silly!!! :-D
