Small Valley map

Stuck on this map, just keep getting my butt kicked by overwhelming forces after 25 minutes or so of play!!!!!!!! Tried looking thru old posts for hints but after 17 pages gave up http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Determined to get to end of HOK despite it being the worst of the series to date!!

I know this response is a bit late, but I played this map recently and also had a hard time holding off the two enemies with only my heroes and the small army I could muster in the limited time before they attack.

The key to this map is to skip creating an army and try to raise as much money as you can in the first thirty minutes by creating lots of workers (miners, scholars, etc) all paying taxes and avoid costly research when you can. If you can raise 2000 (I think) thalers before they attack (after 30 mins) you can bribe them into peace using the tribute button. Once you have peace you can build up your settlement and raise a decent army. When you're ready to attack, you can declare war on one or both by paying another small (100 thalers each) tribute.
