Last night playing with Lochang and Geo. Someone joins and has his little mic icon going crazy sooo, we politely ask if he is new....no response...we ask if he can hear us...no response...we say HELLLLLOOOOOO....no response so we tell geo if he doesn't get up and rush to lobby (in cinema of course) just jump on him so we know he is a noob.

Game starts and of course "Geo has neutralized ___" we both start laughing. Geo dies and then we hear someone being shocked. I type in geo wtf is going on.

The guy was still in spawn and now was shooting geo. OH goodness it was great fun!!

What aboot noobish things you've done.
When I first started I shot my teamate the first time I used EMV.
I still accidentally end up the same place where my partner is as a Merc, messing up the whole security thing... I've lost many games because of that.
I continually go the same way. I second guess myself that the merc would be thinking, "theres no way he's that stupid" and hope he goes somewhere else. Then I always forget about human curiostity, "Maybe he is that stupid. Let's wait and see".
I can't ss+j at all, I always end up just walking off the edge or worse, am crouched when i go off the edge. Sometimes I forget to press C too.
#1 noob thing I still do. Go to building C though the vent an the first floor, even when theres a spy trap there you cant disable.

not quite off topic... you just showed yet another way to tell if someone is a n00b.. hehe you have an option to click multiplayer and play... now if you haven't updated, you need to get 1.31 then you can just choose from desktop whether or not you want to play multi or single player.... your cd key is on the inside jacket of your game i believe.. if not, it's on the back of the cd case that the game came in....

Finally, punkbuster is a program that these guys decided to make so they could make money off of big gaming companies.... they claim that it stops cheaters, what a great way to make money!!!!

If they just stand there spraying bullets at you from a good distance away, they're noobish. You can just run in circles until they run out of ammo.

This next one isn't really noobish, but just an example of somebody being weird/naive. I was teamed up with ArnoldRimmer and we were having problems getting people into the server. We end up DM'ing against a third person in Deftech. He has motion on 24/7 and uses zoom at all opportunities. This was fairly annoying.

We eventually get a fourth person in and play Hospital Sabotage. We win our spy round, then we had some real fun our merc round. For my first kill on him, he was in 202 and I was in 212. I snipe his head off. He screams WTF.

I end up sniping him twice more (once while he was outside of 202, and once through the wall between 102 and 100). After that, he promptly leaves.

Oh, and they scream WTF DO U HAX after you snipe them through a box in Vertigo, chances are they're a noob.

I occasionally toss a grenade at the wall in front of me when meaning to place a mine or trap... I usually get out of the way fast enough but it sucks to lose a nade.

I remember one time, in cinema, I was on bottom floor lobby as a merc. Spy is on spy trap. He's in the tunnel that goes along the front wall down there, and as I come to the opening I realize this and look up and fire a nade, just in time to see his feet land on my face. Then, my teammate jumps down off the top of the little ND niche, and lands on the spy. Apparantly my grenade was poorly aimed and fell back down and killed all 3 of us. It was quite amusing.

The people I hate most are the ones who whine about something every time they die. It's always some kind of glitch or lag or it was impossible or how did you do that or no way or whatever. Had a guy like that tonight, Anal_Adventure. He seemed cool enough in the lobby but every time he died he decided it was just not possible, and he left pretty quickly.
