Just wondered, I'm in the market for a Tempest mocked up as a late '43 Typhoon http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

BTW, the default skin of the Tempest in game is superb. Made by your very own Hammerd.
This of course is no reason not to get down and start skining... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

As in, unlikely and ultimately undesireable? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

We're just jealous folks, SeaNorris - we don't want to share your prolific skinning skills with no woman!

Could you be more specific please, like what exactly do you mean by "somthing"? and do you have historical evedences to follow this spurious claim?

As from what I see of the stock Tempest skin, (appart from it being very well made) is a very historicaly authentic rendition of an early operational Tempest scheme, from the period just after D-Day when the were used almost exclusivly as an anti V1 weapon, and prior to their deployment to Holland in Sept '44.

ie. full d-day stripes (all over) In fact some Tempests even came from the factory with this scheme, with perfect stripes...I have photos that show this clearly.

What say you Sea Norris?

Thanks for the responses guys, and yes, it's a beautiful default skin. Hoping someone will "Typhoon" it up when templates start doing the rounds however as we're sorely missing that bird and I need it to sink a ship http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
