They gave me Percodan back when I had mine removed, but surgery wasn't necessary. They came in far enough for a normal extraction, meaning the dentist took something that looked to me like a crowbar, and got way up in my mouth and pried them out. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I had a local anesthetic given to me when I had all four of mine pulled out at once. I really was very painless. I wouldn't worry about it. You will probably be just fine. Unless you have a phobia about going to the dentist, I don't think you have to worry.

my wisdom tooth got infected last summer and the pain was unbearable.

i waited so long to see a dentist that when i finally did he gave me a local anesthetic and pulled it out without even trying

Boomer is known for his useless, but funny, polls. I doubt many of the oldies like you. IIRC you already had a warning or two, so keep a low profile. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I had all 4 of mine pulled when I was 18. One had got impacted and was giving me problems so out they came. At first I wasn't gonna use gas, bur changed my mind really fast. It still hurt, but not as bad as it could have when yanking a tooth out roots and all.

After 2 were pulled, I had to get some relief and stumbled to bathroom (gas gives ya one hellava buzz), and my Mom, seeing me wobble down the hallway, asked me if I needed any help. I told her that there were some things a man could do by himself even when flying.

Get the gas.

I should have asked for that *ow*, of course, I'd would have just taken it for the completely legal, non-consequence buzz http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I was asleep the whole time I got mine outhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. The only part that hurt even a little bit was when they stuck the IV line or w/e into my arm. Then narcotic painkillers for a few dayshttp://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif, followed by a week of mild discomforthttp://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif
