Hi All,
Does anyone knows if it is possible to have a capsized ship? Or something that looks like that and that would sink or explode if attacked?
With the "8" (in the keypad) I'm able to get the ship bow pointing to the sky, but I couldn't get to look capsized.
Thanks for your help

It is possible to roll the ship over in the FMB

That's great news even so. I mechanically saved mission after tilting the ship so of course I missed the thing. Thanks!

Ah, I didn't understand you well, with or without saving after I tilted the ship, it always appears in the horizontal position http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

At the office, so can't check it......if you play the mission direct from the FMB before saving the mission or moving it into the game per se, will the ship stay capsized? Or does it right itself even then?

If you play the mission directly from FMB, it saves first so will probably right itself.

Yep.
Also there doesn't appear to be a variable in the .mis files you can edit to do this via notepad http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Incredible screenshot!! I'm gonna have to try that, but have no idea how exactly you did that! Did the sailors appear in the water after it was capsized? Or did you place them there? This sim never ceases to amaze me!

Maybe in BoB sailors will appear when ships sink. Actually those are Japanese pilots. I just placed them at random and turned them at random. (I wish we had lifeboats!) Unlike their Allied counterparts they don't get life rafts, just life vests.
And yes, I've been continually amazed with the entire IL-2 line ever since I installed the original demo back in the day, which is why it's the ONLY sim on my computer.

In 3D mode, hold F4, F5, F6 or F7 at the same time as the right mouse button and move the mouse for rotation about various axes.

I like the gunners on deck standing horizontally and aiming straight up! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

That is a "generic IJN Battleship" so those crewmen are following the Bushido Code. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
