Hi everyone http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
I Would like to discuss what would you like to expect from the game and what should be fixed taking examples from the previous versions. Myself im not really a videogamer anymore, but Tom Clancy's games somehow hooked me. What i have been very disturbed from the other discussions that people want this game turned from stealth to racing games or flying simulations or something like that, cause this game is stealth its not ment to have racing, flying or somesort of boxing in game. And be patient what longer it takes the better the game turns out.
Lets start from Double Agent, now that i remember from DA is that they overloaded the missions with things that are very unnecessary just thinking that it would give us more experience but if you focus on the game you see that its not ment to be there if you know what i mean. AS IN EXAMPLE - the first mission - Iceland. The mission is about Terrorists who were dealing with illegal weapons, now if you think for reality would any terrorist group plant lasers in a factory and put a camera on each corner, i doubt it. And every Splinter Cell have had this problem that the MAPS are too Super Mario, what i mean is that there is only one start and one finish, in example a hallway with only a few rooms on your way but it really shouldnt be a hallway. Now there is one more thing that is wrong in EVERY SPLINTER CELL is that, every map evolves that every object around is ment to be there, what i mean is that if there is an obstacle there is always something around there that is ment to be there to cross that obstacle - fix it, why not let the gamer think and figure how to get past there with theyr own mind and use gadgets. Im not saying that there should not be any bottles or rocks on the floor, but what i am saying that everything should be usable around.
Now the enemies. What i mark is that the opponents are placed wrong, they are placed like i said - MENT TO BE THERE - NOT ALL OF THEM, but most. EXAMPLE, the opponent is facing a wall, WHY ? Then there is, that when they hear a sound, they say - IS SOMEONE MOVING AROUND HERE -, but if you think for real, nobody would say that cause he would think its a friend or something walking behind him. Even if you whistle no one would suspect anything, CREATE somekind of voices to the player that we would suspect . Then knocking on locked doors would be an idea.
Then is the problem that normal guards, NOT TERRORIST, shoot on sight if they see you, but reality, they would make you freeze and cuff you or something.
Everything alse seems fine, but i would like to know what you think ?
Now the gadgets and weapons, what i think is that all came out really well from the weapons, only thing i would remake is that weapons would be more woundable and if someone gets a shot in a leg, stomach or a hand, is that they would get wounded and limp or be in pain. Then the knock out kick, now one would get a knock out from one punch to the head, that is very unlikely - use somesort of drug that Sam would always carry and when he wants to knock out someone out, well use your imagination . Any weapon on the ground should be usable and able to pick up. And ofcourse, blood.. . Gadgets where very well done in all Splinter Cells. But again, please give feedback what you expect from weapons and gadgets. Now the whole gameplay would look better if there would be some animals most likely dogs, cause they would bring a very nice experience to the game.
Now this is very unnecessary but i think it would be cool if you could have somesort of outfit you could choose when playing the game but in a wider choice.
Try to make the game look more real, dont overwhelm the maps with unnecessary objects, in example - Lasers in a burger shop, or something like that.
Then what i really liked, was the make of choice in Double agent, i find that this is a very important thing to let players make choices, cause this brings more thrill in the game and puts a player in a position that they feel like they are in gontrol of the player.
All these things what i mentioned, was just my opinion http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif now i would like to see what you think, my perspective is that a player needs to feel he completed the game differently then the 10 million other players in the world. That there would be different paths, different choices to make not just 2, maybe 3. And that things would not be on that exact place on purpose.
Things like cars, helicopter and this kind stuff would ruin the game, coz this game is still stealth not a race game orsmth. Probably what people expect is that there would be these kind of moment of surprises, in example like prison escapes or breaking free from places, or breaking and entering, stealing etc.
I think that it is more then possible to make the game look supreme, cause today's technology provides the best.
