Gahreeson's elevators

Hi,
Sorry to be a pain, but my elevators to take me to the circular tower in Gahreeson have stopped working. I've reset them in the cylinder room, but they only flash and when I press them nothing happens...any ideas please...don't want to have to reset those darned cylinders again...cheers, Jenny...I did fall into the ravine twice...so it's my third attempt to get up there...

Once the power is on, there is no need to go through the KI room. The doors in the outside corridor will open when you get near enough.

well apart from actually climbing up them, the green light flashed for a second then disappeared outside the cylinder room...the one through the Ki room does work...BTW...what's the secret of jumping...I've tried everything to jump all the time, but most times I just jump in the air and go nowhere even though I'm pressing the run key...tried the mouse and that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't...very erratic this jump key...cheers, Jenray

Have you tried a run-jump ? (caps lock)

Standback two steps away from the edge, use forward arrow (run mode) and hit space bar for the jump. Jump a bit ahead of time before the turning walkway get you too far on the big mesa.

This is driving me up the wall LOL...I've fallen in the darn ravine so many times now I've lost count...I run at the rock plateau but I can't reach it...I'm just short of it and am standing back a bit...I've got the run jump thing working okay but this has stumped me...mainly because I'm really not sure when or what I should be jumping onto....I certainly can't reach the platform part that you walk up to reach the tapestry so where do I jump to please...I'm actually shaking now trying to do it, it's got so frustrating...http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Should go away and have a cig I think...cheers, Jenray

Hi jenray,
When making that jump, I usually shoot for the ramp just below the main plateau. If I jump too early of course I miss. But most times I will hit that kind of walkway just below the plateau. If a little late I hit the main plateau. If you hit the ramp, you can walk up to the top of the plateau. Hope that helps in a way. Good luck.

Sounds very difficult LOL...which ramp are you talking about? Is it the rock plateau that stands alone and there's another a bit further on? Sorry to be such a pain, but just doing my head in trying to land somewhere...anywhere! LOL...cheers,

jenray, this is what worked for me.

First, the rock plateau you're trying to get to is the only one that will let you get to the rotating walkways of the large rotating building. The other plateau leads nowhere.

Second, because of an error in collision detection that will let you fall through the plateau when you try to run and jump to it, I found it better to just run off the end of the walkway.
You see the ledge that runs around the plateau? There is a ramp that leads from the ledge to the upper part at the right side as you look at it. Stand at the end of the walkway. When the end of the walkway is just over the ledge, run forward (no jump!). You're left side will slide down the wall of the ramp and you will land on the ledge. Walk up the ramp to the top and make sure you touch the journey cloth so, if you fall again you can link back to here.

Oh, thanks very much for this...I was jumping for the completely wrong place....was trying to get to the moving walkway that revolves around the plateau! Damn...wasted a couple of days jumping into oblivion...LOL...and thanks to Dave McB as well for his hints...cheers, Jenray
