IDEAS for WEEKLY Contest Thread

ok, here's my idea i was kickin around... i say to appease the competitive art community on the forum, there should be a weekly contest thread. this can occur on say... Saturday or Sunday of every week. this is how it goes, during the present contest, the Mod will post the entries AS WELL AS the contest idea for the following week. this will give everyone ONE WEEK to complete an entry for next one while everyone votes in the present contest. this will make things run alot smoother and allow creative juices to flow more efficiently. if you by chance DO NOT get your entry in by the deadline, you will be outta luck and have to wait for the next contest. if by chance the there is only 1 or 2 entries for the week, the contest will be postponed for the following week to allow more entries... and likewise so will the following contest be postponed. i hope this doesn't confuse people. for contests with 3-5 entries use a Poll (for easy tabulation), more than 5 entries then we're doin it the old way. at the end of each week, there will be a single thread that will have each contest in it, with the entries and the name of the winner... so people may be able to view past contest entries. the contest thread will be stickied, the past contests thread will NOT be stickied (a link will be provided to it in the contest thread... much like the movie facts thread). since this is my idea http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif i propose for the first week (which will begin if/when a mod gives the ok for this idea and officially announces it in a stickied "Contest Thread") to make wallpapers of any topic related to POP this time. the following week should be maybe Comics. this is how i plan for it to go (NOTE: THIS IS NOT REAL... JUST AN EXAMPLE)...

But i just think that making it every week wont give enough time so post all the entries, to post the votes and decide the winner.
I think that it will be better to do it every month or fortnight. That will give more time to everyone to post and to decide who's the winner and also to decide and prepare the next contest.

yeah, somethin like that, but it'll be a variety of things... it may not even rotate the way you'd think... but if you don't get somethin in on time, i say hold onto it, make adjustments as you see fit and maybe enter it on the next thing if it applies.
