The traffic is real dumb. You just can't cruise and follow the traffic lights without the A.I that is making crazy moves. If you are proper driving on the right lane and a traffic car passes you, he will honk the horn like a crazy.
Just fix this up because this just isn't fun when you are cruising.

Yes exactly! It's just so unrealistic. I don't know why the A.I is acting like that. This really needs a fix, cruising within traffic rules seems worthless with this kinda traffic.

Would be good if there were updates on the game

I just saw another traffic bug/glitch. The traffic isn't even stopping at a red traffic light..... Doesn't make sence at all.

Give me one game name were the traffic follow all the rules without any problems and you can have fun in it, I've never seen any games with perfect A.I Traffic, that would require a load of power from the computer CPU, and since this game is ported from a console version (There is actually no games that is offered on console and PC that isn't ported from a console version, devs are so lazy these days, even team from TDU2 forgot to add a keyboard and mouse control settings in their final version sent to be gold) that would be impossible to do this on consoles I guess.

For a driving simulator, yes, traffic should follow the rules. In D1, they'd honk if you stopped at the light.
How are the cops? Do they pursue if you drive through a red light?
Drivers are idiots in real life, but I don't expect them to honk every time they stop. Do the neglect to use their turn signals, then that would be realistic. Just turn and the heck with whoever's behind you.
How many cars do you count in one stopped range? In D1, there were about 8. DPL, about 27 to 30 something if you let a traffic jam build.

That drove me absolutely INSANE in D:PL. Driving normally was about the only way to guarantee getting across town unharmed, and when the traffic wasn't getting banked up for three blocks in front of you, they were absolutely BLARING their horns at you for just... sitting there, waiting on the car in front. Sure it was New York, but still- they never honked at anyone else did they?
I hope D:SF doesn't fall into the same trap.

The traffic in Driver SF is just insane, they don't have to honk all the time and going left, right, left, right when you are driving in front of them at the right speed.

I agree with this, i'd like to be able to cruise..
Something i absolutly think is necessary for this game is that AI cars (civilian) should stop when you crash into them. It's not that realistic that they drive away 1 second after being smashed by a large truck. An addition to this could also be that some civilian drivers drive away (scared) or go nuts when you ram them a little. It would be more like in the GTA series if you understand me. The current AI feels like midtown madness where cars just didn't care if you hit them (unaffected).

Are the Driver SF developers even reading this forum and listen to the community? Because I have the feeling that the traffic won't be fixed and that we have to deal with it, which should be a real shame since the rest of the game is so good. But this traffic things is real bad.

They have forum moderators but I don't think that the devs are reading any of the forum posts, l've never ever seen a forum were devs would read about the complaints and do something about it, don't expect anything from them.

So we are stuck with stupid A.I traffic, fine then...... Forza developers are at least listening to their community.

Yeah, the interaction on this forum is almost non existent. Even Korcha from Ubisoft only responds on rare moments to even his own threads, see the
Single Player Questions Thread", which at this point, I've dismissed as forgotten and overlooked, probably because Ubisoft isn't paying anyone to actually interact with the fans regularly as with Bethesda and Eden Games Atari. Then again, based on the fan fallout on those sites, maybe that's for the best.
I still think Reflections did read the threads over the months, TAG MODE was a suggestion by J_Frumpleberg, along with Interior Dash view and some other basic requests. Of course, it's their game to make, but we decide if it succeeds or not.
I'll predict a popular reaction to any shortcomings in the game will be, "4.5 years and they couldn't get the (fill in the blank) right? What happened"
I wish they did get the traffic reactions right, but otherwise, it's not a game breaker for me.

The comment about Turn 10 listening to their customers on Forza is so untrue. I followed the interactions between users and Turn 10 community reps in the months leading up to Forza 3 release & they did not listen to feedback at all.
By the time major reveals of a game are available (ie when the users see detailed gameplay or get a hands-on demo) the game is pretty much done and dusted.

I TOTALLY agree! Get that fixed right on up!

i have to agree.
using the demo-glitch to free roam with tanner's challenger i tried out several things with the traffic.
actually there are only a few junctions with working traffic lights. most of them do have green light all the time for all directions. this doesn't matter because the junction design doesn't even need traffic lights. i also came across one junction with traffic lights that switched from green to red but the A.I. just ignores that and acts as if it's green http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
if you are trying to drive correctly the traffic goes mad. they all start to honk their horns without pause. just when you leave the street and go on the pavement about 4 or 5 meters away of the driving lanes they stop honking. this is ridiculous. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
it is nice that the traffic actually drives around you if you block them but when you shift into a police car or a firetruck and switch on the flashing lights and siren the traffic is just ignoring it. the A.I. cars do not drive faster or try to get out of the way, no they just go on straight in their slow speed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
if you ram traffic cars they immediately just drive on.
even if you crash at full speed into oncoming cars they just continue driving.
would have been nice that after hard impacts the A.I. cars would just stay, their drivers being unconscious.
so all in all the interaction is quite low and the behaviour of the A.I. lacks in detail.

im more bothered about the cops not chasing you even if you drive like a mental- until you crash into them. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

After causing a massive freeway pile up using two big rigs and a bus earlier, I noticed most of the A.I that slammed into me just stopped..
They weren't completely wrecked, I could still shift into them etc.

Whats more annoying is on the Escapist mission, if you shift out of the R8 to wreck the cops with something else, the R8 will stop and turn around, many times causing it to hit a wall, or just getting in your way as you try to ram the cops
