i have been aware of this since yesterday, Im just crossing my fingers its true and works. at the same time i wonder why the devs comment as they do about the filter itself.

aparently is not that simple, perhaps it does increase the FPS, but the damage is already done in the form of invisible propellers and dumbed down effects

I'm betting one way or another, either through a legit patch with an option or a mod, we'll be able to circumvent this filter, if the Russian version doesn't have it, it can be done.

I agree.
Ubisoft can protest all they like, it is their policy which is forcing this upon us.
If the devs intended it to be in the game, it would be in the Russian game too.

Possibly, there is so much mis information going about just now we'll not really know until we have it next week.

After reading many posts this is the way I understand it.
The filter was applied to all versions at the last minute as a stop gap measure just to get the game out.
The filter will be removed on the Russian version leaving the game in its original graphical glory.
The filter will also be removed in the Western release but the graphics will be dumbed down to prevent epileptic seizures.
This will happen in the near future.But the near future in Olegean time may be(dare I say it) two weeks to 6 months.
This is how I see it based on what I have cobbled together.Of course it is subject to change at any time without prior notification.
