Ghost Recon Off Topic Forum?

What happened to the GR Off topic forum? The recent post about a forum shuffle stated no loss of posts, but when a whole forum is lost, there is a loss of something. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

The GR OT forums very low activity (and I mean very low) simply didnt warrant keeping the forum open any longer. However we did do a brief run through more recent threads and those related to GR were placed in to the new GR General Discussion forum and all others moved to the main General discussion forum.

All of the GR forums have been slow as of late. Will Ubi get rid of those too?

can anyone help me on my PC
when i go online i put the correct password and email and nickname but when i enter the sever room i have no ping and there are only like 10 diffrent severs that have hardly any people playing on them. ive tryed re-installing the game but it didn't help at all.

blah b;ah blah... u have no interest in the ghost recon community ppl,, why not admit it... the chat is still disabled in the ubi lobby... this is another issue that has not been resolved.. closed yrs ago and forgot about.. and whenever anyone advertises on this forum to try let ppl know where to go to chat to other gr players ubi deleted it... only want the forum numbers to look popular/// why not admit it ubi... gr is not an iterest to yourselfs.... fkin joke...

I can assure you I have a great deal of interest in the GR community, furthermore topics discussing chat systems for GR are not deleted. If you can direct me to an example of this happening I would be keen to see it.

GRS Admin posted up a addy of a forum for gr players ,, one that is used both by .:TAG:. members and aso ICG members.. here gr playters would have been able to find out where people played.. whats happening in GR leagues and also GRS has live chatbox but the post was edited and deleted by yourself...

also you say you have alot of intereset in the gr community... why has after 3-5 yrs , the chat on ubi gr lobby been reactivated.. surely this was one of the largest ways for the gr community to talk n help each other out... or was this done in order for the forums to become more popular as it is now the only way appart from paging ppl in the gr lobby , if you have a problem

You were advertising a paid for service, that isnt permitted on the boards. There are voice/chat systems that do not require players to part with money.

On a side note duplicate accounts are also not permitted http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

With regard to the chat lobby, I dont know why that particular lobby was closed but its likely the same reasons that others were. People were using the system to abuse others and sadly it reached a point where the only way to prevent that was to close it.

When you made your earlier post I thought you were referring to software programs allowing in game chat.

Having read your later posts I realise you were referring to forums. That being the case let me clarify a few points.

Advertising is NOT allowed on these boards.

We do however welcome members to signature link their web/fansites, and where appropriate (i.e. game related) post a thread drawing members attention to a website (that is free to use).

The post you referred to was removed because it simply bumped on old thread on a totally unrelated issue with the sole intention to advertise. Had the poster grs_admin (you that is) made a new thread introducing the forum members to the site it would have remained in place just as your thread HERE (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/258103032/m/5091072567) did

If you read the forum rules you will clearly see that advertising, spamming and duplicate accounts are in breach of the rules.

You posted advertising a website; you did so more than once and did so using duplicate accounts.

Now if you’re in any way still unsure about this issue please do contact me in PT where we can discuss the matter without further disruption to this thread/ forum.

It was closed for this reason. That and people using IRc (if I remember correctly) to mimic Admin & cause havoc to players.

I also miss the chat lobby but I feel it is definately too late in the game to set it back up now even if the original concerns were gone. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
