Sqn L/Dr Neville Duke, DSO, OBE, DFC (Two Bars), AFC and Czech Military Medal.

Duke joined the RAF in June 1940, serving first with 92 Sqn and scoring his first kills in R6904/QJ-Ybefore moving to 112 Sqn in North Africa, flying Tomahawks and Kittyhawks, scoring 6 more kills and several damaged A/C.
He moved back to 92 Sqn flying Spitfire Vc's and on occasions Spitfire IXc's. With 92 Sqn he scored 14 Kills, mainly in ER281/QJ-R.
After a rest period as in instructor he joined 145 Sqn as its commander, scoring 6 Kills.
At the end of the war Duke became an experimental aircraft pilot for the RAF before becoming chief test pilot for the Hawker Aircraft Company, setting several records with them.
