As a defender.. it's a bit hard. How would you reckon going about capturing on that map, most of the CPs located in the attacker's direction?

While I'm at it: Any tips on gunship spam? The Spetz have tough ones, and my transports/gunships never seem to catch them before they cause damage to my arty/tanks. I'll hole down some engiees nearby the arty, but they just fly past. My transports can't keep up with them either.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Take your time on Copenhagen. Grab a forward uplink, and upgrade your rear uplinks for electronic warfare. Deploy your arty as usual with supporting units and use a gunship to spot targets. Add a few gunships + EW to take out any threatening arty, but make sure you save enough CP's to drop at least one EW on any encroaching gunships.

Let your opponents attempt several waves of attacks, and use spare CP's to build up an assault force. It's a decent tactic, but watch for deep strikes. If they cap one of your rear uplinks, crash one of theirs and handle the uplink but don't use your WMD until you put the opponent in defcon and they attempt to assault one of yours. Good luck!

I personally find Copenhagen ridiculously easy. What I do is:

1. Start with 2 transports + 1 infantry(I prefer riflemen)

2. As soon as the game loads, send the infantry in one of the transports to Bravo and call in more infantry(I use engineers).

3. Once engineers are deployed, get them in the other transport to secure Lima.

That's pretty much it, just get a full combat chain going on the field, plant mines if you've got them. Get force recon on both uplinks.

4. At some point, deploy more riflemen and have them secure you two back uplinks. Then hide them in the trees so they can quickly run to an uplink if the guards there get WMD'd.

Sound advice there.

Copenhagen is a tricky one but not impossible. I generally secure Lima (i think, the middle right) first with engineer in transport. Then hole up your engineers in the building closest and you get a great view of both potential attacking routes.

Use riflemen to secure and upgrade the rest in the main base. Deploy arty inside the compound with a transport next to it. Wait to use your EW until there gunships are in range of the guarding transport and fry them.

Let them come to you. be patient. they are slow as hell so if you can get 2 units of arty up and running then you can decimate anything they throw at you with the help of garrisoned engineers to mop up the leftovers.

Hope this helps.

I tried that, a armor/transport rush at Bravo pretty much screwed me, and the russkie kept pounding me with arty at Lima. Couldn't get to it once he dislodged me. I have no force recon, or electronic warfare yet. This is why it's so hard for newer players to get a foothold, y'know? Everyone else is gunned up, and you're lucky to make 100k CR in an engagement.

I don't have much of a problem with JSF, but with russkies I'm all around bad http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

And GenMonty, that engiee idea is a good one! That complex off of Lima would be a perfect location for them, actually!

I usually play 2v2 these days. I have found taking Lima early and using alot of airstrikes really helps.

We are losing here again and I we need to step up around EFEC efforts so we do not lose Copenhagen.
