Beyond The Shadows is a privately owned forum(-SWCowboy- from Subsim). If you like Ubi, you will love BtS. BtS is full of nice folk such as Ubi does.

Aside from having great people, BtS also has downloads straight from the website. No more "Click this link" to download this mod, BtS has the files to download directly.

I am in NO WAY trying to divert users of UBI to BtS,as UBI is a wonderful forum, one of the friendliest on the internet, but just letting you know of a great place to get mods for SH3/SH4. Such as UBRS was a great Silent Hunter download site, BtS is just as important. BtS is a new forum/download site, and still under development, but still growing rapidly, I highly recommend this site.

I still think of UBI as my Home Base, and always will, BtS has a lot to offer. Like I say, UBI has a very friendly atmosphere, BtS has many of the same qualities, with a download section(No more FileFront needed).

The UBI Forums are E-RATED forums: ....That means that they are supposed to be safe for your ten year old daughter.

This is the job your Moderators are charged with.

The only people here who need to worry about being "banned" are those who consistently violate the Terms of Use.

(...And I suggest you re-read the BTS "Terms of Use"; .....They are amazingly similar to the ones you agreed to on this site! .....If the people running BTS choose not to enforce them, it IS NOT a positive mark in their favor!)

With respect, perhaps some of your members should bear that in mind when expressing their views on how this forum is run!

KL is not trying to have a "say" in how you run your site, and I'm sure he has absolutely no interest in running it. His comment was an observation based on recent behaviour in your forum, in which some of your regular members (including one of your moderators) threw obscene insults at members and moderators of this forum! Such behaviour had continued for several weeks at BTS, with no intervention whatsoever! Even one of your admins appeared to endorse what was happening, until KL posted there in an effort to bring the matter to your attention. I'm glad to see that the offenders now seem to have refrained from posting further insults in public.

It seems strange to me that when facts are related to the moderators on this forum they start to go through some sort of mental crises!
Coments on other forums should surely be followed up by those who are mentioned in the posts.
As regards the factual recounting of events, it appears to me that no repudiation of the events mentioned have been put forward by those involved. The comments have been there for all to see for over a week!
You seem to ban...ban...ban but seem unable or unwilling to join in any healthy debate about the issues involved.
As regarding post on other forums put up shut up.

The only person I've noticed that they've banned lately clearly broke the TOU by posting pictures that would get him banned on most forums.

I've never visited the site or engaged in their forums. I dont recall slating anyone else either on this forum, nearest I came was trying to get someone to understand that training a pilot or two didn't win the Falklands war but gave up in the end as my reasoning was obviously way over the recipients level of comprehension.
I do object to being labelled a cross dresser and having a need to be wet nursed.......
I have no desire to wear womens clothing and at 6'3 and 280lbs I can look after myself thanks.
Or instead of a cross dresser requiring a wet nurse does that make me just a dumb fat b@stard who happens to use this forum?.

Just to set the record straight.

In a conversation with U301 many many moons ago, I simply mentioned in a passing comment that I thought he lived in America. I wasn't a Moderator of this forum at the time, so couldn't use my 'Moderator Powers' to check exactly where he lived - not that I would have bothered anyway. The internet is a faceless environment and assumptions are easily made.

Quite how I am 'Anti-American' is beyond me. The passing comment I made has been dredged up from the past and twisted into something that is frankly, quite ludicrous and totally unsupported and unsubstantiated. Some of my best and closest friends, to say nothing of some relatives, are American.

I fail to see how I would still be a Moderator for this forum if I truly were 'Anti American'- It would be painfully apparent in my demeanour if this was the view I held and it would have been exposed a long time before now. If anyone can quote a genuine 'Anti American' comment I have made in the Ubi forums from the thousands of posts I have made by all means do so - I think your search will be fruitless though.

Yes! ....Tuddley is a great guy, and his original intent was to simply promote the advancement of the game.

Let's not allow some of the negative stuff that followed to "pollute" his purpose in posting!
