Ruse "failed to run install script " during installation

Cannot install the game from a retail dvd - i have already got steam installed in my pc.
Windows 7 x 64
4gb ram
gtx 260

what you can do is open up steam, at the top under the games tab select activate product on steam, a window will pop up and enter your cd key in the pop up, you should than be able to install RUSE via steam instead of from the dvd
