I've been hesitating between Mermaidconningtowerembl, Bigu, Brokenenglandtorpedo, & Fitzgibdswordhand... And I've just voted for Brokenenglandtorpedo, that seems to fit the most on the side of a U-Boot turm.

Why bother voting when we should be able to simply import all of the emblems into the game five minutes after release?
Unless you somehow intend to prevent people from adding custom content to SH5 and voting for one of these is the only way we'll ever see it in the game.

Yes they are authentic. I just linked a pic to show that there are some ppl who didn't make their own emblems but used existing ones to enter the competition. Unfortunately devs didn't notice this. Also, I agree about the mermaid. I don't think that nazis allowed their sailors and bomber pilots to paint pin-ups on their crafts as allies did.

I do apologize for cards128, but you must admit they really look like the U107 emblem (at least the idea is the same). I noticed the vikingboat so i just agreed with Kaleun about people making spoofs of the original ones to enter the contest. This is a simulator!! People wants to create their own emblem, write their own name, and start in 1939!!

Please ubi don't mess up SH5! Being a potent client ( I'm a fanatic of u-boats even if I am reconised for my mindless comments about sh4 :P) I ensure you at least half of people here will aggree that it is useless to work on a single character campaign instead of making amusing stuffs such as drawing on torpedoes and make our own tower emblem!

Oh yeah and it would be awesome to add flags on our ship (such as the kriegsmarine flag,and the mini-flags representing the ships sank during the mission... Oh and please don't be shy to show swastikas! A simulator is not a simulator if it doen't represent anything!(in sh4 they were hidden :/) )

BTW I understand people saying SH5 should have real WWII emblems but if you are an u-boat commander,like all u-boat commanders you must create your emblem! (its part of the adventure! :P)

If one observed the voting carefully then you would have witnessed alot of that. For example during the christmas days there were more than 20 votes for "U901vikingboat" within only one hour and not a single vote in the meantime. The same you could see on "Acey Deucey". This emblem didn't received a single vote during christmas days when "sh5emblem", "bigu", "Mermaidconningtowerembl" and others received many. It's an authentic image from Germany during the 30s. It's based on a trading card that was available at the time but it was never used on a U-boat. The cool thing is that it COULD have been used had a kaleun seen it and been inspired to do so. Kinda like that cow emblem that the frenchies used on their dairy products.

The devs wanted us to submit images that would fit in with the time period. That's what I did.

As to voter fraud: This is the first time I've been on this board in god knows how long. Until I recieved your butthurt PM I had completely forgotten about the contest. It took me 15 minutes to figure out what the hell you were talking about.

I was like "Ausschusskind? What? My twitter alt is Ausschusskind but what the hell is he talking about with 'cheating'? Oh! Now I get it! The contest thingy on the Ubi forum."

Seriously, dude get a grip. It's a contest. It's fun but it's not that big of a deal. Ask yourself why you care so much about it. BTW, you'll be able to mod any damn emblem you want in the game. Just an FWI.

If GKane wants to take my emblem off then I have no problem with that since I forgot it was there to begin with. It's just gonna wind up in the game anyway via modding.

these are fake accounts to boost up the "Sh5emblem" entry and maybe some others also.

This contest is a pure fake and should be stopped and canceled by the moderators in terms of the honest voters. Anything else would be a farce if the emblems with the fraud votes are find their way into the finished game.

If there was one that I would definitely NOT vote for it was the SH5 Emblem and until recently it hardly got a vote...phew the relief, didn't want what looked like a cartoon character on my sub!!!!.

BUT look now, it has 20 percent of the votes???...someone is definitely 'cooking the books!!!!'

Yesterday there were two of the emblems with 12 percent each and they were the leaders....
