Yeah the FAMAS was my weapon of choice, too, if not going silenced.

It had a high rate of fire, I think, and as my reticule weaves around all over the screen like a drunk taking a leak in a box that meant I at least had a chance of hitting something.

As for the weapon just available to pre-orders.......With pre-wrapped games and multiple distributors, how will UBI discern true pre-orders from those just despatched at any time after release? Can't see it working at all, and certainly not fairly. I have pre-ordered mine from play.com here in the UK - will they despatch games from one box pre 9th March, then close the lid on that box and despatch from another post 9th March? Don't think so. Will UBI just make the download available for a short time around the 9th March? Not good if you are engrossed in the single player and miss your chance

I like the Rx4, but I'm not used to it. And the famas is a very good assult rifle. It's got a nice design, and with a scope it's going to work well as a (sub)sniperrifle also. The FAMAS may not be super accurate. But it has a rate of fire no weapon in the series of Ghost Recon could match.

As for it being exclusive. For the SP, maybe... For the MP, I HIGHLY doubt it...

... maybe because the Rx4 is a civilian semi auto rifle with ZERO combat time in war. I'm not saying it's a bad weapon in real life or the game but there's no history behind it and Beretta isn't the best firearm maker to begin with.

The Only French troops not using the FAMAS as their main field weapon are members of special forces, such as the 13th Parachute Dragoon Regiment. You will see many of the weapons used by NATO troops in their ranks.

Regular French troops use the FAMAS F1, Navy Troops use the FAMAS G2. French Army will most likely change to the FAMAS FELIN in 2007-2008. The FELIN suits serve the same purpose of the LAND WARRIOR US ARMY counterpart.

Im going to guess that the FAMAS is in the game, regardless of when you get it since its in the demo, so unless they dont included it in the full game... but that would be dumb IMO. And its pretty good to in the demo.

I love the design of the FAMAS, and I believe that it's an excellent firearm for the Automatic Rifleman's class, given that this class only has to, primarily offer cover fire to pin down enemies when a team/squad is performing Leapfrog or some other cover-to-cover positioning/flanking tasks.

That would compensate for the FAMAS' inaccuracy while in full auto firing mode.

Just my 2 cents.

You know I've been thinking about this exclusive weapon thing. It truly is rediculous. I'm surprised that it's not only included in a collector's edition like EA's extra cars for Need For Speed or Capcom's Lost Planet. Why are game companies so interested in only making the extra buck instead of having good PR and quality products? I think they know that we'll just buy the game anyway and we all want that little extra something, because we feel "hey, I'm going to buy the game and I want everything included so I'll spend the extra cash or pre-order with a particular company." IT's all a marketing ploy and truly what they need to do is befriend us. Give us something premium to start with and maybe then we'll accept DLC at higher prices, because we know that the product will be good.

I have used the FAMAS in the MP demo and I think it is a fantastic rifle. It has the same scope as the M-468 SD , which works spectacularly in Outpost, the demo map . On my first trial , I was not impressed because the FAMAS does have a significant amount of recoil compared to the MR-C , my previous favorite rifle .However, with repeated testing , I found the rifle to be quite accurate and lethal. The FAMAS's ammunition hits as hard as that used by the SA-80 making it among the hardest hitting assault rifles in the game.
Another great feature is that the rifle offers single shot, 3 round burst and full auto.

Honestly, I never liked the FAMAS and have bias against the weapon (personal reasons) which is why I never used it in R6 Vegas. But it really seems the best rifle in GRAW 2.

Wow, we are talking about a game used firearm, right (are we talking real or conceptualized "reality?")? Unless we have personally field tested the FAMAS, denegrating it here is uesless. How can we tell that the FAMAS, or any other, is a "p.o.s." from a game? We all have our game choices, and that should be it. Anything else is pointless.

Ok I got the code from game (I dont like people making play with a stupid name for campaign game) and I cannot see the FAMAS anywhere nor is it downloadable.

Anyone know how to get it ?
