409m problem on download

I have two downloads that my son did for me because he has high speed and I don't. I get this message when I try to execute the download.Badcrc9563d607.should be a191fo6.How can I correct this? Thanks for any help Shafto

Could be a bad download. Have him try downloading it again, and make sure he gets it from www.mission4today.com, (http://www.mission4today.com,) most reliable source for Il2 patches.

Select the bottom one in the list. I recently checked it. If you want, you can use a download accelerator using multiple streams to increase the download speed. The file is hosted from my mediafire account.

Inside the 409m.zip archive is the 409m.exe installer. This is the one to run to install the 4.09m patch. Your son can extract this file from the zip archive to test he does not get a crc error.

Download will take about 15 minutes on a single stream (normal download) 5 Mbps or higher line.
Most of the time a crc error can be corrected by a "zipfix" utility (google zipfix).

Remember there is also a skin pack for 4.09m;

Finaly got the 409m download and installed it. Don't have the 409 skins as yet because son has high speed and is doing it for me. Since I installed the 409 patch i can no longer bring the sim up. I suspect there is no il2fb exe anymore. Renaming il2fb dosn't do it. Hope you can help me.Shafto

It may be a known issue with older systems, the 4.09 comes with two new snd_***.dll files that can cause this, use the files from 4.07 or 4.08 and overwrite the two that came with the 4.09.

If il2fb.exe is actually missing it could be an issue with your anti-virus as some have been known to delete it for whatever reason.

The files Urufu means can be downloaded from M4T here (http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=3768) - just extracthem into the main game folder overwriting the files that the 4.09m installer inserted.

The files the 4.09m installer inserted can cause problems if you run an older AMD processor.

Some mods can also cause a crash at 5% or 95% loading.
