Hi! Ok, I'll just get straight to the point. I have a source at Microsoft talking through me. He has asked me to make a thread about GR3 and 360 Live. He is willing to take feedback and answer questions about the 360Live part, but not SP.

What kind of feedback? Any gameplay decisions are being made by Ubi and not MS. RSE only does the artwork and development, but Ubi calls all the shots.

How will the actual gameplay be? As in first person or OTS... Will it be a combination of the two or strictly one.
Optimatch?
Game mode types?
Thx in advance

I belive microsoft supervises everything they do for multiplayer because xbox 360 has an online regulation they must meet...from what i heard but im not to sure..

There needs to be a feature that tells you what the set rules are through optimatch. This has been an issue through the series. If there are no explosives, you should be able to know before you enter that room.

I know that your goin to be able to create your own game modes. The designer said that there would be 360 combinations to make your own game mode.

First Answer: Microsoft decides what and what not to allow on 360 Live. If Bill doesent like it, it ain't gonna be on 360 live. Ubi calls the shots about HOW to develop the game, but there is a CONTRACT that ubi signed, and one part of it states that UBI will have to follow any instruction MS gives them.

If MS cared that much then games like Black Arrow and Pandora Tomorrow wouldn't have been released without more testinghttp://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Two words: Backward-Compatability - ensure ALL "old" XBOX-1 game titles will play on the new 360 machine and that a 360 *Live* multiplayer game can also host the old games.
Expand the room sizes from the current maximum of 16 to something like 20 to 24 AND require enough BETA testing of the MultiPlayer game software to ensure we don't EVER get any RED-X "restart" / reboot errors with full or partially-filled rooms.
It would be nice if XBOX Live "guests" could use their headset - microphones!!! If you're letting them play as a guest, then give them the "full experience" so they'll be more likely to go out and buy an XBOX system, the games, online subscription etc.
Keep the ability of the host to remove "bad" players who don't play nice with others before the game starts or while in-game.
For Optimatch, when I'm looking for a room to jump into, it would be nice to have an indicator like A for Adults or J for Juniors, so adults can find and play with adults and juniors can find and play with juniors. The default setting would be Junior, and when I see a game set as Adult, I'll pretty much know the person running the game is an adult and took the time to change the setting to let others know "this is an Adult game room."
If I get into a game room that is in-progress, I must sit and wait for the game to end before I can play with the group. While I am waiting, I can only talk with and listen to the "dead" players while the "live" players are still playing. Please continue to allow me to talk with the dead players, BUT also allow me to cycle through each of the live player's points of view, so I'll have something interesting to see while I'm waiting. Starring at the Lobby screen while I'm waiting is boring, especially if I have to wait 15-20 minutes.

Another Xbox 360 Live request --
Mandate that the pop-up text boxes be reduced in heigth by 1/2 or 3/4.
These are the "Messages from Command" or "Player 1 has entered/exited the game" that appear throughout the game.
Playing split screen two-person, nearly the whole TV screen is covered by the two black backgrounded text boxes.
Please shrink them!

I wouldn't believe everything that this guy is telling you.. Wait for official confirmation by either Ubisoft or Microsoft...

Are the maps going to be huge? How many players does it support online? Are there vehicles?
